Overview A Helix Sleep Moonlight Mattress

Helix, an online mattress manufacturer that sells directly to consumers, is well-known because of its sleep study. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. The Helix series includes of seven primary variants to accommodate various sleeping preferences. A Helix Sleep Moonlight Mattress

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn, Helix Plus, and Helix Plus are three of the most commonly used models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix was conscious of side sleepers while creating the Sunset (the Midnight) and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. This update is optional and extends coil support to provide zonal back support, which aids in better spinal alignment. This works by supporting the hips and allowing the shoulders to drop further. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel cover allows for better ventilation of the mattress, while also removing moisture. Upgrades come with an additional 15-year warranty in addition the usual 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are very good at controlling movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

Dusk, Sunset have the highest motion absorption of any Helix model due to their memory foam layers.

The Plus has two comfort layers as well, which prevent the majority of coil motions from reaching the springy coil core of the mattress.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

As a consequence, noise transmission is decreased over the mattress. Motion transmission is modest during moonlight, dawn, and midnight, which might lessen the impact of your partner’s movements on your ability to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

The moonlight, sunset, sunrise, and night are the best times to relieve pressure. This is partly due to the plusher surfaces. The Plus is specifically designed for those who are heavier and can help alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

Memory foam mattresses are known for heating you while you sleep. This is because it holds heat throughout the night. To counter heat loss, the coils of these mattresses allow air to flow through to aid in cooling.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Every Helix model comes with an encasement which is reinforced within the core of the coil. It reduces sinkage when people sit or lay on the edges of their beds. Every model has a different level support due to its structure and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn provide the best edge support because of their sturdy design. These strong, sturdy products also provide great edge support. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight & Sunset are the most extravagant models. These mattresses will allow you to sink less or stay close to the edge. They provide the least amount of edge support of all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s ability to move is the main distinguishing feature. Because of the sinking Moonlight and setting sun, it is very difficult to walk on the surface.

Twilight and Dawn models have a more comfortable, firmer sensation. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.

The Line with the Plus has a two-layer comfort system. Although it is a bit more difficult than other hybrids to move on, the bed’s firmness allows for sufficient movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces that can restrict movement.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This is a common smell that is considered to be safe and usually disappears within a few days. Helix has many mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideA mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

Side bed sleepers weighing less than 130 lbs will appreciate the soft padding in the Moonlight or Dusk models. The Moonlight is the best option for those who desire a cozier setting.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. The majority of sleepers in this weight range will enjoy the models’ blend of powerful contouring and support.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic Foam gives the Plus cushioning and bounce. And, because the Plus is built for larger individuals, the foam comfort layers provide the required cradling that relieves pressure from the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight could be the best choice for back sleepers less than 130 lbs, depending on their requirements. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both provide enough plushness to cushion the spine and great support for the lower back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight and Dawn are great choices for those who sleep on their backs and weigh more than 230 pounds. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. Those who weigh more than 130 pounds who want to sleep well might choose the Plus and Dawn. Because of their support and hardness, the central region of the mattress can reduce the risk of weight loss. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

Because it is medium-firm, the Midnight is suitable for stomach sleepers less than 130 pounds. For heavier people, however, the Midnight will sink too deep. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
