Overview Cheaper Than Helix Mattress

Helix, a mattress manufacturer selling direct to consumers, is known for its sleep studies. This quiz will help you choose the right mattress based upon your body weight, preferred position and sleeping style. To accommodate different sleeping preferences, the Helix series offers seven variants. Cheaper Than Helix Mattress

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight are the softest versions available from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight is one example of a medium model. Helix Dusk is another. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn and Helix Plus are the most used models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. While Helix designs each mattress with certain weight categories and sleep positions in mind, some people may also like the way it feels.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. This allows the hips to be supported and the shoulders to sink further. To give the cushion a more luxurious feel, the Luxe edition quilts the top. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. Along with the 10-year guarantee, the upgrade also includes a 15-year warranty.

The Dawn, Dusk and Midnight versions, Sunset, Moonlight, Sunset, Twilight, and Midnight versions are each 12 inches thick. The luxury versions are 14 inch thick. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

We will be examining the construction and reviews for each Helix mattress. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. The comfort layers’ latex like polyfoam are springier that ordinary memory foam. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

Two comfort layers are included in the Plus, which keep most coil motions from reaching its springy coil core.

As a result, less vibration may travel over the surface of the mattress.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. It is possible to rest better if you sleep at night, in the morning, or at night.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses reduce pressure. This is partly due to the Helix mattress’ layers of memory foam, pocketed coils, and polyfoam. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. Side sleepers, or those who weigh less than 130 lbs., have different needs. Softer mattresses can better meet their needs. Firmer mattresses may be recommended for those who want to lie on their stomachs or backs and who are heavier than 230 lbs.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is made especially for those who weigh more, and it may effectively alleviate pressure spots for people who sleep in this category. Due to Twilight and Dawn’s more intense sensations, sleepers will be less likely to experience pressure points. This can reduce the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

When it comes to sleeping cool, Helix mattresses perform around average for hybrids.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. To further assist heat dissipation the Plus also includes two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model includes an encasement made from the coil’s inner core. This reduces sinkage when someone lies on their back or sits on their bed edge. Every model has a different level support due to its structure and stiffness.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight or Sunset are the most expensive models. This means that you will sink less when you sleep, and you can sit closer to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s quality primarily sets the ease of movement apart as a separate class. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models however, feel firmer and more comfortable. The powerful pushback against the body of Dawn and Twilight models makes it easier to move around and get out from bed.

The two-layer comfort system of the Line with the Plus may make the bed a little harder to move about on than other hybrids, but the firmness still allows for a sufficient amount of movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. The amount of conforming or sinking that the foam layers provide can influence the sexual experience depending on how it is made.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. Also, while dusk, night, and plus are great times to have sex, moonlight and sunset can make it more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces that can restrict movement.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix hybrid mattresses have coil cores that allow for more air to flow across the entire bed. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

If the smell is bothersome, you might leave the mattress out in a well-ventilated place for a few days.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideThe key to a good night’s sleep is finding the right mattress that provides the perfect balance of support and cushioning. To relieve strain and align the spine, the hips and shoulders need to be free to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. People who prefer a more cozy atmosphere will love the Moonlight.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

If you are a side-sleeper who is more than 230 lbs, the Plus and, to some extent, the Twilight will be your best choices. This model’s firmer feel will help side sleepers not sink too deeply into their bed. The Helix Dynamic Foam layer gives cushioning and bounce, and since the Plus is designed for bigger persons, the foam comfort layers provide the necessary cradling that relieves pressure on the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. Your spine should be balanced by the position of your back on a bed.

This is why back sleepers often choose mattresses that are firmer than those preferred by side sleepers but not as stiff as those preferred by stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the right choice for backs that weigh less than 130lbs. It depends on your needs. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

There are many options for those who weigh between 130-230 pounds and between 130-230 pounds. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. They provide excellent support to the weight range and prevent your hips from sinking in the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach sleepers place greater stress on their mattresses and are more likely to sink further than in other positions. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. This can lead to later aches, and pains. Ultimately, stomach sleepers need a mattress that is firmer, more supportive, and has enough push-back to keep their backs in alignment.

Helix versions that are firmer will be more comfortable for stomach-sleepers, who require a level surface in order to maintain their spinal alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. The central region of the mattress is sturdy enough to reduce the possibility of excessive weight loss thanks to their hardness and support. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because the Midnight feels medium-firm it’s suitable for stomach sleepers below 130 pounds. For heavier people, however, the Midnight will sink too deep. The Twilight may also work well for stomach sleepers of lighter weight, especially those weighing between 130 and 230lbs.
