Lunar Light The Midnight, Dusk, and Dawn have been designed with stomach and back sleepers in mind. The Plus is made especially for larger people. Helix has designed each mattress with specific weights in mind. Some people might also enjoy the way it feels.

Except for the Plus, all models are available in the normal and luxe editions. Optional, the update expands the coil system in order to provide zonal Lumbar Support to improve spinal alignment. Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. Because of the springiness emanating from the coil’s centre, you may be able detect your partner’s movements throughout a night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

The Plus has two comfort layers as well, which prevent the majority of coil motions from reaching the springy coil core of the mattress.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. The amount of motion transmission during the moonlight, dawn and midnight is very low, which may lessen your ability to go to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam enables deep relaxation and self-cradling, which may help take some of the pressure off of pressure points like the hips and shoulders. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. Softer mattresses will be more accommodating to their needs. Firmer mattresses may be recommended for those who want to lie on their stomachs or backs and who are heavier than 230 lbs.

Because of their plusher surfaces, the moonlight, dusk-sunset, sunset and midnight provide the most effective pressure relief. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

Memory foam mattresses can cause you to feel warm as you sleep. The mattress often stores heat and keeps it. To counter heat loss, the coils of these mattresses allow air to flow through to aid in cooling.

The Dawn is more comfortable because of its firmness and lack sinkage. The Plus includes two cooling covers to help with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. The coil’s core is strengthened, so there is less sinkage when the person sits or lies on the edge of their bed. Each model, however, has a different degree of edge support. This is due in large part to its quality and stiffness.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Dusk, Midnight and Plus also provide enough support for the edges.

The most luxurious models are Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset, so you’ll sink less while you sleep or sit close to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The model’s overall quality is what separates the ease of movement from any other class. It is difficult to walk on the surface because to the deep cradling and sink provided by the softer Moonlight and the setting sun.

Twilight and Dawn models on the other side have a firmer, pleasanter sensation. It’s much easier to get up and move about with the Dawn/Twilight models’ strong pushback against your body.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses can provide spring and bounce due to their coil cores. This is something many couples love when having sex. Depending on the design of the mattress, the degree of conforming and sinking provided by the foam layers may enhance or detract from the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This is a common smell that is considered to be safe and usually disappears within a few days. Helix offers several mattress options.

Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, their coil cores provide more air to move across the whole bed. As a result, the odors will dissipate quicker than they would with an all-foam mattress.

If the smell is bothersome, you might leave the mattress out in a well-ventilated place for a few days.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. For proper alignment and relief of strain, the hips and shoulders should be free to sink into a mattress. Side sleepers prefer mattresses with a medium feel. These are closer to the soft end.

Side sleepers with a weight below 130 pounds will appreciate the plush padding offered by the Moonlight, Dusk, and Moonlight models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

Side sleepers who are between 130 and 230 lbs should be able to use the Midnight/Dusk. Models’ combination of support and contouring will appeal to most sleepers who are in this weight range.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. The Helix Dynamic Foam layer gives cushioning and bounce, and since the Plus is designed for bigger persons, the foam comfort layers provide the necessary cradling that relieves pressure on the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. The Plus or Twilight might be a good choice for back sleepers who are in this weight range. Both offer enough support to the lower back and spine with sufficient plushness. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. If they fall too far, they can push their spines out from their normal alignment. This can lead to later aches, and pains. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

The firmer Helix versions will be most comfortable for stomach sleepers, who require a level surface to preserve proper spinal alignment and alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. The central region of the mattress is sturdy enough to reduce the possibility of excessive weight loss thanks to their hardness and support. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

Because it is medium-firm, the Midnight is suitable for stomach sleepers less than 130 pounds. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight may also work well for stomach sleepers of lighter weight, especially those weighing between 130 and 230lbs.
