Gq Helix Mattress

Overview Gq Helix Mattress

Helix, a direct to consumer mattress manufacturer, is known for its sleep research. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. The Helix series includes of seven primary variants to accommodate various sleeping preferences. Gq Helix Mattress

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight are the softest versions available from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight (and Helix Dusk) are two models that fall within the medium category. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn, Helix Plus, and Helix Plus are three of the most commonly used models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix produces the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light The Midnight, Dusk, and Dawn have been designed with stomach and back sleepers in mind. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. While Helix designs each mattress with certain weight categories and sleep positions in mind, some people may also like the way it feels.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. This optional update extends the coil system to provide zonal support for spinal alignment. This allows the hips to be supported and the shoulders to sink further. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel cover allows for better ventilation of the mattress, while also removing moisture. Along with the 10-year guarantee, the upgrade also includes a 15-year warranty.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. Plus is also 13 inches thick. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

We will be examining the construction and reviews for each Helix mattress. We’ll also highlight some of the possible benefits so you can choose which model suits you best.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses perform well at preventing movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Due to the memory foam layers and softer feel compared to the other Helix models, the Dusk and Sunset both absorb the most motion of all the Helix models.

The Plus has two comfort layers as well, which prevent the majority of coil motions from reaching the springy coil core of the mattress.

The mattress may feel less vibratory because of this.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses reduce pressure. This is partly due to the Helix mattress’ layers of memory foam, pocketed coils, and polyfoam. The foam enables deep relaxation and self-cradling, which may help take some of the pressure off of pressure points like the hips and shoulders. Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. are more demanding. are better met by the softer mattresses. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

The finest pressure relief is provided by the moonlight, dusk, sunset, and midnight, in part because of the plusher surfaces. The Plus is specially designed for heavier sleepers and may reduce pressure points. Twilight’s stronger sensation will cause sleepers to be more resistant to pressure points, which can decrease the efficacy and effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. However, these mattresses’ coils allow for air flow to help counter heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. The Plus includes two cooling covers to help with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Every Helix model is equipped with an encasement, which is strengthened within its core. The coil’s core is strengthened, so there is less sinkage when the person sits or lies on the edge of their bed. Every model has a different level support due to its structure and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight, Sunset and Sunset are the most luxurious models. You’ll feel less sinking while you sleep or be close to the edge. These mattresses offer the most support at the edges than any other Helix mattress.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight and Dawn models have a more comfortable, firmer sensation. The powerful pushback against the body of Dawn and Twilight models makes it easier to move around and get out from bed.

The two-layer comfort system of the Line with the Plus may make the bed a little harder to move about on than other hybrids, but the firmness still allows for a sufficient amount of movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. The mattress’s design will determine how the foam layers affect the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. Additionally, dusk and midnight are ideal times for sex. However, moonlight, sunset and sunrise will likely make things more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is often considered to be normal and goes away within a few hours. Helix offers several mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, odors will disappear faster than they would with an allfoam mattress.

If the smell is bothersome, you might leave the mattress out in a well-ventilated place for a few days.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideFinding a mattress with the ideal ratio of support to cushioning is the key to sleeping well on your side. To relieve strain and align the spine, the hips and shoulders need to be free to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

Side bed sleepers weighing less than 130 lbs will appreciate the soft padding in the Moonlight or Dusk models. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who fall into this category of side sleepers will feel the models’ firmer feeling and not sink too deep into their beds. The Helix Dynamic Foam layer gives cushioning and bounce, and since the Plus is designed for bigger persons, the foam comfort layers provide the necessary cradling that relieves pressure on the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

Back sleeping typically requires a bit extra support and hardness, especially in the lumbar region to prevent sinking too deeply and causing spinal misalignment. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.

This is why back sleepers often choose mattresses that are firmer than those preferred by side sleepers but not as stiff as those preferred by stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It provides the right amount of support and cushioning that this sleeping position requires.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. Back sleepers that fall into this weight range might do well in the Twilight or the Plus. Both provide enough plushness to cushion the spine and great support for the lower back. Due to their reliable support and reasonable firmness, they are both Dusk and Dawn are also excellent.

For those who weigh more over 230 pounds who sleep on their backs, the Plus, Twilight, and Dawn are great options. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach sleepers tend to be more prone to sinking than other positions, putting greater pressure on their mattresses. They run the danger of pushing their spines out of their normal alignment and forming a U shape if they drop too far. This could lead to aches and pains later. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. People who are more than 130 lbs and who wish to sleep well may choose the Plus or Dawn. Due to its hardness and support, the central area of the mattress is strong enough to prevent excessive weight loss. To provide stomach sleepers with this weight, a cushion which is comfortable will be sufficient.

The Midnight is appropriate for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds since it feels medium-firm. For heavier people, however, the Midnight will sink too deep. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
