Overview Helix Dan Mattress

Helix, a direct to consumer mattress manufacturer, is known for its sleep research. This quiz will determine which mattress is best for you. It takes into account your weight, preferred sleep position, and personal sleeping preferences. To accommodate different sleeping preferences, the Helix series offers seven variants. Helix Dan Mattress

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight, Helix Dusk and Helix Twilight are two examples for medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn and Helix Plus are the most used models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix produces the Sunset. Helix considers side sleepers when designing the Sunsets, Midnights, and Twilight. Lunar Light The Midnight, Dusk, and Dawn have been designed with stomach and back sleepers in mind. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix makes each mattress with specific weights and sleep positions in mind. But, for some people, the Plus may feel great.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. To give the cushion a more luxurious feel, the Luxe edition quilts the top. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk and Midnight versions, Sunset, Moonlight, Sunset, Twilight, and Midnight versions are each 12 inches thick. The luxury versions are 14 inch thick. Plus is also 13 inches thick. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We will be examining the construction and reviews for each Helix mattress. We’ll also give you some benefits to help you choose the right model.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are great at keeping you from moving. Foam layers can absorb much of the movement. The comfort layers’ latex-like polyfoam, however, is springier than ordinary memory foam. The springiness emanating out of the coil’s center may allow you to detect your partner’s movements during the night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. are more demanding. are better met by the softer mattresses. Firmer mattresses would be a better choice for those who sleep on the stomach or back, or who are more than 230lbs.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is specifically designed for those who are heavier and can help alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn have a harder sensation, which will increase resistance to pressure points. This reduces the efficacy these products in this area.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

Memory foam mattresses have a reputation for making you feel hot while you sleep. It often holds on to heat all night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Each Helix model has an encasement that is strengthened within the coil’s core. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The ease of movement is primarily determined by the model’s quality. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models on the other side have a firmer, pleasanter sensation. The powerful pushback against the body of Dawn and Twilight models makes it easier to move around and get out from bed.

The Line with the Plus has a two-layer comfort system. Although it is a bit more difficult than other hybrids to move on, the bed’s firmness allows for sufficient movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses can provide spring and bounce due to their coil cores. This is something many couples love when having sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. Dusk, midnight, plus, and plus are the best times for sex. Moonlight and sunset, however, will make it more challenging. These models may be restricted by their soft, plush surfaces.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is generally considered to be harmless and will disappear after a few weeks. Helix offers many different mattress options.

Helix hybrid mattresses have coil cores that allow for more air to flow across the entire bed. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideThe key to a good night’s sleep is finding the right mattress that provides the perfect balance of support and cushioning. To relieve strain and align the spine, the hips and shoulders need to be free to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers prefer mattresses with a medium feel. These are closer to the soft end.

Side bed sleepers less than 130lbs will enjoy the plush padding on the Moonlight and Dusk models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

Side sleepers between 130 and 220 pounds can use the Midnight or Dusk, which are firm and comfortable. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

To prevent spinal misalignment, back sleeping usually requires a little more support and hardness, particularly in the lumbar area. Your spine will remain fairly level by how your back is placed on the bed.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It provides the right amount of support and cushioning that this sleeping position requires.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both offer sufficient cushioning for the spine and excellent support for the lower part of the back. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

The Plus, Twilight and Dawn are great choices for those who sleep on their backs and weigh more than 230 pounds. They offer great support for weight ranges to prevent hips and backs from sinking under the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. If they sink too far, they run the risk of pushing their spines out their normal alignment. This can lead to later aches, and pains. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Due to its hardness and support, the central area of the mattress is strong enough to prevent excessive weight loss. So a cushion that’s comfortable will give stomach sleepers in this range the support they need.

Because it is medium-firm, the Midnight is suitable for stomach sleepers less than 130 pounds. Heavy people may sink too much. The Twilight is also suitable for stomach sleepers who are lighter, especially those who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds.
