Helix Dawn King Mattress

Overview Helix Dawn King Mattress

Helix, a direct to consumer mattress manufacturer, is known for its sleep research. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Dawn King Mattress

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight The manufacturer’s softest versions are Helix Sunset or Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn Helix Plus and Helix Plus have the most common use models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix was conscious of side sleepers while creating the Sunset (the Midnight) and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk, Dawn and Dawn were created with stomach and back sleepers as consideration. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix mattresses are designed with specific weight categories in mind. However, some people may like how it feels.

Every model, except the Plus comes in both the Luxe or normal editions. The optional update increases the coil system to provide zonallumbar support. This will help in better spinal alignment. This allows the hips to be supported and the shoulders to sink further. The Luxe edition of the quilt is used on the top to give the cushion a plush feel. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. Additionally, the Plus measures 13 inches in thickness. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are great at keeping you from moving. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. Due to the springiness emanating form the coil’s core, it is possible to sense your partner moving throughout the night.

Due to the memory foam layers and softer feel compared to the other Helix models, the Dusk and Sunset both absorb the most motion of all the Helix models.

The Plus has two comfort layers as well, which prevent the majority of coil motions from reaching the springy coil core of the mattress.

As a result, less vibration may travel over the surface of the mattress.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

One of the benefits of Helix mattresses is pressure reduction, which is partly attributable to the layers of memory foam, polyfoam, and pocketed coils. The foam enables deep relaxation and self-cradling, which may help take some of the pressure off of pressure points like the hips and shoulders. Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. are more demanding. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. For those who like to sleep on their stomach or back or who weigh more than 230 pounds, however, firmer mattresses are recommended.

The moonlight, sunset, sunrise, and night are the best times to relieve pressure. This is partly due to the plusher surfaces. The Plus is specially designed for heavier sleepers and may reduce pressure points. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform well for hybrids when it comes down to sleeping cool.

Memory foam mattresses have a reputation for making you feel hot while you sleep. It often holds on to heat all night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn is more comfortable because of its firmness and lack sinkage. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Every Helix model comes with an encasement which is reinforced within the core of the coil. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Each model, however, has a different degree of edge support. This is due in large part to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn, for instance, offer excellent edge support thanks to their sturdy designs. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have plush, soft surface that could restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is generally considered to be harmless and will disappear after a few weeks. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, odors will disappear faster than they would with an allfoam mattress.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideA mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. For proper alignment and relief of strain, the hips and shoulders should be free to sink into a mattress. Mattresses with a “medium” feel, closer to the soft end of the range, are often preferred by side sleepers.

Side bed sleepers weighing less than 130 lbs will appreciate the soft padding in the Moonlight or Dusk models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

The fairly firm Midnight and Dusk are best suited for side sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds. This weight range is the majority of those who will benefit from the models’ powerful contouring and support.

If you are a side-sleeper who is more than 230 lbs, the Plus and, to some extent, the Twilight will be your best choices. The firmer feel of these models will prevent side sleepers who are heavier than 230 pounds from sinking too deeply into their beds. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

Back sleeping is more difficult than usual. You need extra support in the lumbar and back regions to prevent your spine from sinking. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It offers the ideal amount support and cushioning to this sleeping position.

There are many options for those who weigh between 130-230 pounds and between 130-230 pounds. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both provide enough plushness to cushion the spine and great support for the lower back. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

The Plus, Twilight or Dawn are great options if you weigh more than 220 pounds and prefer to sleep on your back. To prevent hips from sinking into the mattress, they provide great support for the weight range.

Stomach Sleepers

As the main weight bearing part of a person’s body, torsos are usually heavier. Stomach sleepers place greater stress on their mattresses and are more likely to sink further than in other positions. If they sink too far, they run the risk of pushing their spines out their normal alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. To provide stomach sleepers with this weight, a cushion which is comfortable will be sufficient.

Because it feels medium-firm, The Midnight is ideal for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 lbs. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
