Helix Mattress Bilber

Overview Helix Mattress Bilber

Helix, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, is well-known for its sleep studies. This quiz suggests the ideal mattress based on a person’s weight, preferred sleeping position, and sleeping style. There are seven options in the Helix series that can be used to meet different preferences. Helix Mattress Bilber

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight is one example of a medium model. Helix Dusk is another. Helix Sunset The most often used models are Helix Twilight, Helix Dawn, and Helix Plus. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

The Sunset is produced by Helix. Helix has side sleepers in mind while designing the Sunset, the Midnight, and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight and Dawn, as well as Dusk & Dawn, were designed with stomach and back sleeping in mind. The Plus was designed specifically for those with larger bodies. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel cover allows for better ventilation of the mattress, while also removing moisture. Upgrades come with an additional 15-year warranty in addition the usual 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. Additionally, the Plus measures 13 inches in thickness. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. We’ll also be listing some of the potential benefits to help determine which model might work best for your needs.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideThe majority of Helix mattresses are excellent at preventing movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. The comfort layers’ latex-like polyfoam, however, is springier than ordinary memory foam. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

The memory foam layers and soft feel of the Helix models make the Dusk and Sunset absorb the most motion than any other models.

The Plus also has two comfort layers that prevent most coil movements from reaching the springy core of the mattress.

Therefore, vibrations may be less likely to travel across the mattress’s surface.

The quantity of noise that is transferred over the mattress is reduced as a result. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. Side sleepers, or those who weigh less than 130 lbs., have different needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

Moonlight, dusk and sunset provide the best pressure relief, partly because they have plusher surfaces. The Plus is designed for heavier people and may help to alleviate pressure points. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform about average in hybrids for cooling down when it comes sleeping.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. However, these mattresses’ coils allow for air flow to help counter heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Every Helix model comes with an encasement which is reinforced within the core of the coil. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn, for instance, offer excellent edge support thanks to their sturdy designs. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The model’s quality primarily sets the ease of movement apart as a separate class. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The Line with the Plus has a two-layer comfort system. Although it is a bit more difficult than other hybrids to move on, the bed’s firmness allows for sufficient movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces make it easy for couples to move around. Additionally, dusk and midnight are ideal times for sex. However, moonlight, sunset and sunrise will likely make things more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces which may limit motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is generally considered to be harmless and will disappear after a few weeks. Helix offers a variety of mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideTo sleep well on your side, you need a mattress that offers the right balance of support and cushioning. To relieve strain and align the spine, the hips and shoulders need to be free to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers often prefer mattresses that have a “medium” feel. This is closer to the soft side of the range.

Side bed sleepers less than 130lbs will enjoy the plush padding on the Moonlight and Dusk models. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. Models’ combination of support and contouring will appeal to most sleepers who are in this weight range.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. These models’ firmer feel will keep folks who fall into this type of side sleepers from sinking too deep into their beds. The Helix Dynamic Foam layer gives cushioning and bounce, and since the Plus is designed for bigger persons, the foam comfort layers provide the necessary cradling that relieves pressure on the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.

Back sleeping typically requires a bit extra support and hardness, especially in the lumbar region to prevent sinking too deeply and causing spinal misalignment. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight might be the best option for back-sleepers under 130 pounds depending on their needs. It offers the ideal amount support and cushioning to this sleeping position.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. The Plus or Twilight might be a good choice for back sleepers who are in this weight range. Both offer enough support to the lower back and spine with sufficient plushness. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight or Dawn are great options if you weigh more than 220 pounds and prefer to sleep on your back. They offer great support for weight ranges to prevent hips and backs from sinking under the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

The majority of someone’s weight is carried by their torsos. Stomach sleepers put greater strain on their mattresses and have a propensity to sink deeper than other positions. If they fall too far, they can push their spines out from their normal alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

Helix models with a firmer surface will be the most comfortable for stomach sleepers. This is because they require a level surface for proper spinal alignment. Those who weigh more than 130 pounds who want to sleep well might choose the Plus and Dawn. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

The Midnight is appropriate for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds since it feels medium-firm. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. For stomach sleepers who are lighter in weight, especially those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds, the Twilight may also be appropriate.
