Helix Mattress Break In Period

Overview Helix Mattress Break In Period

Helix, an online mattress manufacturer that sells directly to consumers, is well-known because of its sleep study. The quiz determines the best mattress for you based on your weight, preferred sleeping position, as well as your sleeping style. To accommodate different sleeping preferences, the Helix series offers seven variants. Helix Mattress Break In Period

Helix Moonlight and the Sunset The softest versions from the manufacturer are Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus is the firmest model in the Helix Plus line.

Helix makes the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk, Dawn and Dawn were created with stomach and back sleepers as consideration. The Plus is made especially for larger people. Helix has designed each mattress with specific weights in mind. Some people might also enjoy the way it feels.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. The optional update increases the coil system to provide zonallumbar support. This will help in better spinal alignment. This allows the hips to be supported and the shoulders to sink further. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. Upgrades come with an additional 15-year warranty in addition the usual 10-year guarantee.

Standard versions of the Dawn and Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight and Sunset are 12 inches thick. The luxurious versions are 14 inches. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. Since Helix mattresses may be high-profile, you might need to have large pockets.

We will review the specifications, construction, and customer reviews for each Helix mattress. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are great at keeping you from moving. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. The springiness emanating out of the coil’s center may allow you to detect your partner’s movements during the night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

The amount of noise transferred to the mattress is therefore reduced. The amount of motion transmission during the moonlight, dawn and midnight is very low, which may lessen your ability to go to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses offer pressure relief. This is partially due to the pocketsed coils, memory foam and polyfoam layers. The foam is able to induce deep relaxation and self cradling, which can reduce pressure points like the hips. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. are better met by the softer mattresses. Firmer mattresses would be a better choice for those who sleep on the stomach or back, or who are more than 230lbs.

The finest pressure relief is provided by the moonlight, dusk, sunset, and midnight, in part because of the plusher surfaces. The Plus is designed for heavier people and may help to alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn have a harder sensation, which will increase resistance to pressure points. This reduces the efficacy these products in this area.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn is more comfortable because of its firmness and lack sinkage. To further assist heat dissipation the Plus also includes two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model includes an encasement made from the coil’s inner core. As a result, less sinkage occurs when a person sits or lays on the edge of their bed. Each model, however, has a different degree of edge support. This is due in large part to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn offer the best edge support, thanks to their solid design. These strong, sturdy products also provide great edge support. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight, Sunset and Sunset are the most luxurious models. You’ll feel less sinking while you sleep or be close to the edge. These mattresses offer the most support at the edges than any other Helix mattress.

Ease of Movement

The ease of movement is primarily determined by the model’s quality. It is difficult to walk on the surface because to the deep cradling and sink provided by the softer Moonlight and the setting sun.

Twilight and Dawn models on the other side have a firmer, pleasanter sensation. With the powerful pushback of the body, Dawn and Twilight models make it much easier to get out of bed.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. Depending on the design of the mattress, the degree of conforming and sinking provided by the foam layers may enhance or detract from the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight’s smooth surfaces make moving about simpler, making them the best options for couples. Dusk, midnight, plus, and plus are the best times for sex. Moonlight and sunset, however, will make it more challenging. These models have soft, plush surfaces that can restrict movement.

Off-Gassing

Helix models come with the standard amount “new mattress scent” that is found in all foam mattresses.

This smell is often considered to be normal and goes away within a few hours. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. As a result, the odors will dissipate quicker than they would with an all-foam mattress.

If the smell is bothersome, you might leave the mattress out in a well-ventilated place for a few days.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideA mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

Side sleepers with a weight below 130 pounds will appreciate the plush padding offered by the Moonlight, Dusk, and Moonlight models. The Moonlight is a good option for people who like a cozier atmosphere.

The fairly firm Midnight and Dusk are best suited for side sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds. Models’ combination of support and contouring will appeal to most sleepers who are in this weight range.

If you are a side-sleeper who is more than 230 lbs, the Plus and, to some extent, the Twilight will be your best choices. The firmer feel of these models will prevent side sleepers who are heavier than 230 pounds from sinking too deeply into their beds. Helix Dynamic Foam gives the Plus cushioning and bounce. And, because the Plus is built for larger individuals, the foam comfort layers provide the required cradling that relieves pressure from the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers require a mixture of support, contouring, and cushioning. Side sleepers prefer less cushioning.

To avoid spinal misalignment and sinking, back sleeping requires some extra support. Your spine should be balanced by the position of your back on a bed.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight could be the best choice for back sleepers less than 130 lbs, depending on their requirements. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both provide enough plushness to cushion the spine and great support for the lower back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. These mattresses provide support for all weight categories to prevent hips sinking into the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. This could lead to aches and pains later. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. People who are more than 130 lbs and who wish to sleep well may choose the Plus or Dawn. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. To provide stomach sleepers with this weight, a cushion which is comfortable will be sufficient.

Because it is medium-firm, the Midnight is suitable for stomach sleepers less than 130 pounds. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. For stomach sleepers who are lighter in weight, especially those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds, the Twilight may also be appropriate.
