Overview Helix Mattress Cb2

Helix, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, is well-known for its sleep studies. This quiz will help you choose the right mattress based upon your body weight, preferred position and sleeping style. There are seven options in the Helix series that can be used to meet different preferences. Helix Mattress Cb2

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight The manufacturer’s softest versions are Helix Sunset or Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight (and Helix Dusk) are two models that fall within the medium category. Helix Sunset The most often used models are Helix Twilight, Helix Dawn, and Helix Plus. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix makes the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light, Dusk and Dawn were designed with stomach- and back sleepers at heart. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. Helix makes each mattress with specific weights and sleep positions in mind. But, for some people, the Plus may feel great.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. This update is optional and extends coil support to provide zonal back support, which aids in better spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel cover allows for better ventilation of the mattress, while also removing moisture. The upgrade comes with a 15-year warranty, in addition to the standard 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. Plus is also 13 in thick. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. The comfort layers’ latex like polyfoam are springier that ordinary memory foam. Due to the springiness emanating form the coil’s core, it is possible to sense your partner moving throughout the night.

The memory foam layers and soft feel of the Helix models make the Dusk and Sunset absorb the most motion than any other models.

Two comfort layers are included in the Plus, which keep most coil motions from reaching its springy coil core.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

As a consequence, noise transmission is decreased over the mattress. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

One of the benefits of Helix mattresses is pressure reduction, which is partly attributable to the layers of memory foam, polyfoam, and pocketed coils. The foam enables deep relaxation and self-cradling, which may help take some of the pressure off of pressure points like the hips and shoulders. Side sleepers (or anyone below 130 lbs) have specific needs. are better met by the softer mattresses. For those who like to sleep on their stomach or back or who weigh more than 230 pounds, however, firmer mattresses are recommended.

The finest pressure relief is provided by the moonlight, dusk, sunset, and midnight, in part because of the plusher surfaces. The Plus is specifically designed for those who are heavier and can help alleviate pressure points. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform about average in hybrids for cooling down when it comes sleeping.

Memory foam mattresses have a reputation for making you feel hot while you sleep. It often holds on to heat all night. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. To further assist heat dissipation the Plus also includes two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model has an encasement that is strengthened within the coil’s core. This reduces sinkage when someone lies on their back or sits on their bed edge. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn offer the best edge support, thanks to their solid design. Because to their sturdy build, they also provide superb edge support. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight & Sunset are the most extravagant models. These mattresses will allow you to sink less or stay close to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. It is difficult to walk on the surface because to the deep cradling and sink provided by the softer Moonlight and the setting sun.

Twilight and Dawn models on the other side have a firmer, pleasanter sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The Line with a Plus bed has two layers of comfort. However, it’s a little more difficult to move than other hybrids.

Sex

Helix mattresses provide some spring and bounce thanks to their coil cores. Many couples find this a great option for sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. Dusk, midnight, plus, and plus are the best times for sex. Moonlight and sunset, however, will make it more challenging. These models have soft, plush surfaces which may limit motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models have the same amount of “new mattress smell” as all foam mattresses.

The smell is usually considered safe and disappears after a few days. Helix offers many different mattress options.

Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, their coil cores provide more air to move across the whole bed. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideA mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Mattresses with a “medium” feel, closer to the soft end of the range, are often preferred by side sleepers.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. The Moonlight is a good option for people who like a cozier atmosphere.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. The majority of sleepers in this weight range will enjoy the models’ blend of powerful contouring and support.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. The firmer feel of these models will prevent side sleepers who are heavier than 230 pounds from sinking too deeply into their beds. Helix Dynamic Faam layers give cushioning and bounce. Plus models are designed for larger people. Foam comfort layers provide the necessary support to alleviate pressure on the shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

Back sleeping is more difficult than usual. You need extra support in the lumbar and back regions to prevent your spine from sinking. The posture of your back on the bed ensures that your spine is reasonably even.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It offers the ideal amount support and cushioning to this sleeping position.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both provide enough plushness to cushion the spine and great support for the lower back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. To prevent hips from sinking into the mattress, they provide great support for the weight range.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach sleepers are more likely to put stress on their mattresses, and sink deeper than others. If they sink too far, they run the risk of pushing their spines out their normal alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

Helix versions that are firmer will be more comfortable for stomach-sleepers, who require a level surface in order to maintain their spinal alignment. If you are over 130 pounds, the Plus or Dawn might be the best option for you. The central region of the mattress is sturdy enough to reduce the possibility of excessive weight loss thanks to their hardness and support. Therefore, a cushion that is comfortable will provide the support that stomach sleepers in this weight range require.

Because the Midnight feels medium-firm it’s suitable for stomach sleepers below 130 pounds. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight may also work well for stomach sleepers of lighter weight, especially those weighing between 130 and 230lbs.
