Overview Helix Mattress Com

Helix, a direct to consumer mattress manufacturer, is known for its sleep research. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Mattress Com

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight The manufacturer’s softest versions are Helix Sunset or Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight, Helix Dusk and Helix Twilight are two examples for medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn and Helix Plus are the most used models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix makes the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light The Midnight, Dusk, and Dawn have been designed with stomach and back sleepers in mind. The Plus was designed specifically for those with larger bodies. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. This is accomplished by supporting the hips while allowing the shoulders to descend farther. To give the cushion a plush feeling, the Luxe version of the top quilt is applied to it. The Tencel cover promotes ventilation into the mattress while assisting in the removal of moisture. Along with the 10-year guarantee, the upgrade also includes a 15-year warranty.

The Dawn, Dusk and Midnight versions, Sunset, Moonlight, Sunset, Twilight, and Midnight versions are each 12 inches thick. The luxury versions are 14 inch thick. Plus is also 13 inches thick. Since Helix mattresses may be high-profile, you might need to have large pockets.

We will review the specifications, construction, and customer reviews for each Helix mattress. We will also provide some possible benefits to help you make a decision about which model is best for you.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses perform well at preventing movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. The comfort layers’ latex like polyfoam are springier that ordinary memory foam. Because of the springiness emanating from the coil’s centre, you may be able detect your partner’s movements throughout a night.

Due to the memory foam layers and softer feel compared to the other Helix models, the Dusk and Sunset both absorb the most motion of all the Helix models.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

Therefore, vibrations may be less likely to travel across the mattress’s surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. The amount of motion transmission during the moonlight, dawn and midnight is very low, which may lessen your ability to go to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam can be used to relax deeply and allow for self-cradling. This may help reduce pressure points such pressure points as the hips and shoulders. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. For those who like to sleep on their stomach or back or who weigh more than 230 pounds, however, firmer mattresses are recommended.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is specially designed for heavier sleepers and may reduce pressure points. Twilight and Dawn have a harder sensation, which will increase resistance to pressure points. This reduces the efficacy these products in this area.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform about average in hybrids for cooling down when it comes sleeping.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. To counter heat loss, the coils of these mattresses allow air to flow through to aid in cooling.

The Dawn’s firmness combined with its lack of sinkage make it cooler than any other type. Two cooling covers are included with the Plus to further aid with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Each Helix model includes an encasement made from the coil’s inner core. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn provide the best edge support because of their sturdy design. Due to their solid construction, they provide outstanding edge support. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight & Sunset are the most extravagant models. These mattresses will allow you to sink less or stay close to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. The surface is slippery due to the sinking Moonlight as well as the soft Moonlight.

Twilight and Dawn models however, feel firmer and more comfortable. The powerful pushback against the body of Dawn and Twilight models makes it easier to move around and get out from bed.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses are known for their coil cores which provide some spring and bounce. Many couples enjoy Helix mattress sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. Dusk, midnight, plus, and plus are the best times for sex. Moonlight and sunset, however, will make it more challenging. These models have plush, soft surface that could restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This is a common smell that is considered to be safe and usually disappears within a few days. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, their coil cores provide more air to move across the whole bed. As a result, the odors will dissipate quicker than they would with an all-foam mattress.

You can leave the mattress open for a few hours if the smell bothers you.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideTo sleep well on your side, you need a mattress that offers the right balance of support and cushioning. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Side sleepers prefer mattresses with a medium feel. These are closer to the soft end.

Side sleepers under 130 pounds will love the plush padding of the Moonlight and Dusk models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

The fairly firm Midnight and Dusk are best suited for side sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds. This weight range is the majority of those who will benefit from the models’ powerful contouring and support.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. The firmer feel of these models will prevent side sleepers who are heavier than 230 pounds from sinking too deeply into their beds. The Helix Dynamic Foam layer gives cushioning and bounce, and since the Plus is designed for bigger persons, the foam comfort layers provide the necessary cradling that relieves pressure on the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

Back sleeping typically requires a bit extra support and hardness, especially in the lumbar region to prevent sinking too deeply and causing spinal misalignment. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the right choice for backs that weigh less than 130lbs. It depends on your needs. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both offer enough support to the lower back and spine with sufficient plushness. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

For those who weigh more over 230 pounds who sleep on their backs, the Plus, Twilight, and Dawn are great options. These mattresses provide support for all weight categories to prevent hips sinking into the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

As the main weight bearing part of a person’s body, torsos are usually heavier. Stomach sleepers put greater strain on their mattresses and have a propensity to sink deeper than other positions. If they sink too far, they run the risk of pushing their spines out their normal alignment. This can lead to later aches, and pains. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

Helix models with a firmer surface will be the most comfortable for stomach sleepers. This is because they require a level surface for proper spinal alignment. People who are more than 130 lbs and who wish to sleep well may choose the Plus or Dawn. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

Because it feels medium-firm, The Midnight is ideal for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 lbs. For heavier people, however, the Midnight will sink too deep. The Twilight may also work well for stomach sleepers of lighter weight, especially those weighing between 130 and 230lbs.
