Helix Mattress Finishing Touches

Overview Helix Mattress Finishing Touches

Helix, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, is well-known for its sleep studies. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Mattress Finishing Touches

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight are the softest versions available from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset The most often used models are Helix Twilight, Helix Dawn, and Helix Plus. Helix Plus are the strongest models in this line.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix has side sleepers in mind while designing the Sunset, the Midnight, and the Twilight. Lunar Light The Midnight, Dusk, and Dawn have been designed with stomach and back sleepers in mind. The Plus is designed especially for larger individuals. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. The Luxe edition of the quilt is used on the top to give the cushion a plush feel. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

The standard versions of the Dawn, Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight, Sunset, and Twilight are 12 inches thick, while the luxurious versions are 14 inches thick. Plus measures 13 inches. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. We’ll also give you some benefits to help you choose the right model.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are very good at controlling movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. The comfort layers’ latex like polyfoam are springier that ordinary memory foam. The springiness emanating out of the coil’s center may allow you to detect your partner’s movements during the night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

Two comfort layers are included in the Plus, which keep most coil motions from reaching its springy coil core.

As a result, less vibration may travel over the surface of the mattress.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. Motion transmission is modest during moonlight, dawn, and midnight, which might lessen the impact of your partner’s movements on your ability to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. Side sleepers, or those who weigh less than 130 lbs., have different needs. Softer mattresses provide better support. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

The moonlight, sunset, sunrise, and night are the best times to relieve pressure. This is partly due to the plusher surfaces. The Plus is specifically designed for those who are heavier and can help alleviate pressure points. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform about average in hybrids for cooling down when it comes sleeping.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness combined with its lack of sinkage make it cooler than any other type. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Every Helix model comes with an encasement which is reinforced within the core of the coil. It reduces sinkage when people sit or lay on the edges of their beds. Each model, however, has a different degree of edge support. This is due in large part to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn, for instance, offer excellent edge support thanks to their sturdy designs. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They provide the least amount of edge support of all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s quality primarily sets the ease of movement apart as a separate class. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The mattress’s design will determine how the foam layers affect the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. Additionally, dusk, midnight, and plus are ideal times for sex, but moonlight and sunset will probably make things more difficult. These models have plush, soft surface that could restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is often considered to be normal and goes away within a few hours. Helix offers many different mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.

You can leave the mattress open for a few hours if the smell bothers you.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideThe key to a good night’s sleep is finding the right mattress that provides the perfect balance of support and cushioning. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers often prefer mattresses that have a “medium” feel. This is closer to the soft side of the range.

Side sleepers with a weight below 130 pounds will appreciate the plush padding offered by the Moonlight, Dusk, and Moonlight models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

Side sleepers who are between 130 and 230 lbs should be able to use the Midnight/Dusk. The majority of sleepers in this weight range will enjoy the models’ blend of powerful contouring and support.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who fall into this category of side sleepers will feel the models’ firmer feeling and not sink too deep into their beds. Helix Dynamic Foam gives the Plus cushioning and bounce. And, because the Plus is built for larger individuals, the foam comfort layers provide the required cradling that relieves pressure from the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.

To prevent spinal misalignment, back sleeping usually requires a little more support and hardness, particularly in the lumbar area. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

The options are endless for people who weigh between 130 and 220 pounds. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. They both provide sufficient plushness to support the spine and the lower back. Dusk and Dawn both offer excellent support and are firm but not too firm.

The Plus and Twilight mattresses are excellent options for those who weigh over 230lbs who sleep on the back. They provide excellent support to the weight range and prevent your hips from sinking in the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach sleepers put greater strain on their mattresses and have a propensity to sink deeper than other positions. They run the danger of pushing their spines out of their normal alignment and forming a U shape if they drop too far. It can cause later aches and discomforts. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. Those who weigh more than 130 pounds who want to sleep well might choose the Plus and Dawn. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. To provide stomach sleepers with this weight, a cushion which is comfortable will be sufficient.

Because it feels medium-firm, The Midnight is ideal for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 lbs. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. The Twilight is also suitable for stomach sleepers who are lighter, especially those who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds.
