Overview Helix Mattress Foundation Assembly

Helix, a mattress manufacturer selling direct to consumers, is known for its sleep studies. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. The Helix series has seven different variants that will suit various sleeping preferences. Helix Mattress Foundation Assembly

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix has side sleepers in mind while designing the Sunset, the Midnight, and the Twilight. Lunar Light, Dusk and Dawn were designed with stomach- and back sleepers at heart. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix mattresses are designed with specific weight categories in mind. However, some people may like how it feels.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. Optional, the update expands the coil system in order to provide zonal Lumbar Support to improve spinal alignment. This works by supporting the hips and allowing the shoulders to drop further. The Luxe edition of the quilt is used on the top to give the cushion a plush feel. The Tencel cover promotes ventilation into the mattress while assisting in the removal of moisture. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

Standard versions of the Dawn and Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight and Sunset are 12 inches thick. The luxurious versions are 14 inches. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

We will be examining the construction and reviews for each Helix mattress. We will also provide some possible benefits to help you make a decision about which model is best for you.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are very good at controlling movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. Due to the springiness emanating form the coil’s core, it is possible to sense your partner moving throughout the night.

Due to the memory foam layers and softer feel compared to the other Helix models, the Dusk and Sunset both absorb the most motion of all the Helix models.

The Plus has two comfort layers as well, which prevent the majority of coil motions from reaching the springy coil core of the mattress.

Therefore, vibrations may be less likely to travel across the mattress’s surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. It is possible to rest better if you sleep at night, in the morning, or at night.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers, or those who weigh less than 130 lbs., have different needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is made especially for those who weigh more, and it may effectively alleviate pressure spots for people who sleep in this category. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness, and lack of sinkage, makes it more comfortable than other types. Two cooling covers are included with the Plus to further aid with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Each Helix model has an encasement that is strengthened within the coil’s core. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Dusk, Midnight and Plus also provide enough support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The model’s overall quality is what separates the ease of movement from any other class. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight models and Dawn models feel more firm and pleasant. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The two-layer comfort system of the Line with the Plus may make the bed a little harder to move about on than other hybrids, but the firmness still allows for a sufficient amount of movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces that can restrict movement.

Off-Gassing

All Helix models initially have the standard amount of “new mattress scent,” which is present with all foam mattresses.

This is a common smell that is considered to be safe and usually disappears within a few days. Helix offers many different mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.

You can leave the mattress open for a few hours if the smell bothers you.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideFinding a mattress with the ideal ratio of support to cushioning is the key to sleeping well on your side. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Mattresses with a “medium” feel, closer to the soft end of the range, are often preferred by side sleepers.

Side bed sleepers weighing less than 130 lbs will appreciate the soft padding in the Moonlight or Dusk models. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

Side sleepers between 130 to 230 pounds are best suited for the Midnight and Dusk’s firmness. The majority of sleepers in this weight range will enjoy the models’ blend of powerful contouring and support.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

Back sleeping is more difficult than usual. You need extra support in the lumbar and back regions to prevent your spine from sinking. Your spine will remain fairly level by how your back is placed on the bed.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight could be the best choice for back sleepers less than 130 lbs, depending on their requirements. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. They both provide sufficient plushness to support the spine and the lower back. Dusk and Dawn both offer excellent support and are firm but not too firm.

The Plus, Twilight or Dawn are great options if you weigh more than 220 pounds and prefer to sleep on your back. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because the majority of an individual’s weight is in their torsos, Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. It could cause aches or pains in the future. These stomach sleepers should have a mattress that’s firmer, supportive, and provides enough support to maintain their spine alignment.

Helix models that are thicker and more comfortable will suit stomach sleepers. They need a level surface to ensure proper spinal alignment. For those over 130lbs who wish to get a good night’s sleep, the Plus and Dawn may be a better choice. Thanks to their support and hardiness, the central part of the mattress is strong enough not to cause excessive weight loss. So a cushion that’s comfortable will give stomach sleepers in this range the support they need.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight is also suitable for stomach sleepers who are lighter, especially those who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds.
