Helix Mattress Headquarters

Overview Helix Mattress Headquarters

Helix, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, is well-known for its sleep studies. This quiz suggests the ideal mattress based on a person’s weight, preferred sleeping position, and sleeping style. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Mattress Headquarters

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight is one example of a medium model. Helix Dusk is another. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus are the strongest models in this line.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix has side sleepers in mind while designing the Sunset, the Midnight, and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk, Dawn and Dawn were created with stomach and back sleepers as consideration. The Plus is made especially for larger people. While Helix designs each mattress with certain weight categories and sleep positions in mind, some people may also like the way it feels.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. Optional, the update expands the coil system in order to provide zonal Lumbar Support to improve spinal alignment. The hips are supported while the shoulders drop farther. The Luxe edition of the quilt is used on the top to give the cushion a plush feel. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. Along with the 10-year guarantee, the upgrade also includes a 15-year warranty.

The standard versions of the Dawn, Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight, Sunset, and Twilight are 12 inches thick, while the luxurious versions are 14 inches thick. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. We will also provide some possible benefits to help you make a decision about which model is best for you.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are very good at controlling movement. The foam layers absorb most movement. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. Because of the springiness emanating from the coil’s centre, you may be able detect your partner’s movements throughout a night.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

As a consequence, noise transmission is decreased over the mattress. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers (or anyone below 130 lbs) have specific needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

Because of their plusher surfaces, the moonlight, dusk-sunset, sunset and midnight provide the most effective pressure relief. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

When it comes to sleeping cool, Helix mattresses perform around average for hybrids.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness, and lack of sinkage, makes it more comfortable than other types. To further assist heat dissipation the Plus also includes two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model includes an encasement made from the coil’s inner core. This reduces sinkage when someone lies on their back or sits on their bed edge. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight & Sunset are the most extravagant models. These mattresses will allow you to sink less or stay close to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The ease of movement is primarily determined by the model’s quality. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. Additionally, dusk, midnight, and plus are ideal times for sex, but moonlight and sunset will probably make things more difficult. These models may be restricted by their soft, plush surfaces.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, their coil cores provide more air to move across the whole bed. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers are more comfortable with mattresses that feel “medium”, closer to the soft range.

Side sleepers with a weight below 130 pounds will appreciate the plush padding offered by the Moonlight, Dusk, and Moonlight models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

The Plus and, in a lesser amount, the Twilight are the best options for side sleepers who weigh more than 220 pounds. People who fall into this category of side sleepers will feel the models’ firmer feeling and not sink too deep into their beds. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

The same goes for back sleepers. However, they need more support and contouring than side sleepers.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. The posture of your back on the bed ensures that your spine is reasonably even.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

The Plus, Twilight or Dawn are great options if you weigh more than 220 pounds and prefer to sleep on your back. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach sleepers are more likely to put stress on their mattresses, and sink deeper than others. They run the danger of pushing their spines out of their normal alignment and forming a U shape if they drop too far. This can lead to later aches, and pains. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

Helix models that are thicker and more comfortable will suit stomach sleepers. They need a level surface to ensure proper spinal alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Due to its hardness and support, the central area of the mattress is strong enough to prevent excessive weight loss. So a cushion that’s comfortable will give stomach sleepers in this range the support they need.

The Midnight is appropriate for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds since it feels medium-firm. Heavy people may sink too much. For stomach sleepers who are lighter in weight, especially those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds, the Twilight may also be appropriate.
