Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix considers side sleepers when designing the Sunsets, Midnights, and Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. Helix makes each mattress with specific weights and sleep positions in mind. But, for some people, the Plus may feel great.

All models, except for the Plus edition, come in both the Luxe as well as the normal editions. The optional update increases the coil system to provide zonallumbar support. This will help in better spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. The Luxe edition of the quilt is used on the top to give the cushion a plush feel. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. The upgrade comes with a 15-year warranty, in addition to the standard 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. Plus measures 13 inches. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are great at keeping you from moving. The foam layers absorb most movement. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

The Plus also has two comfort layers that prevent most coil movements from reaching the springy core of the mattress.

Therefore, vibrations may be less likely to travel across the mattress’s surface.

The quantity of noise that is transferred over the mattress is reduced as a result. Motion transmission is modest during moonlight, dawn, and midnight, which might lessen the impact of your partner’s movements on your ability to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. The foam enables deep relaxation and self-cradling, which may help take some of the pressure off of pressure points like the hips and shoulders. Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. are more demanding. Softer mattresses can better meet their needs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

Because of their plusher surfaces, the moonlight, dusk-sunset, sunset and midnight provide the most effective pressure relief. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Due to Twilight and Dawn’s more intense sensations, sleepers will be less likely to experience pressure points. This can reduce the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform well for hybrids when it comes down to sleeping cool.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness combined with its lack of sinkage make it cooler than any other type. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model has an encasement that is strengthened within the coil’s core. As a result, less sinkage occurs when a person sits or lays on the edge of their bed. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight or Sunset are the most expensive models. This means that you will sink less when you sleep, and you can sit closer to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models have a more comfortable, firmer sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The Line with the Plus has a two-layer comfort system. Although it is a bit more difficult than other hybrids to move on, the bed’s firmness allows for sufficient movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The mattress’s design will determine how the foam layers affect the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight’s smooth surfaces make moving about simpler, making them the best options for couples. Also, while dusk, night, and plus are great times to have sex, moonlight and sunset can make it more difficult. These models may be restricted by their soft, plush surfaces.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is often considered to be normal and goes away within a few hours. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix hybrid mattresses have coil cores that allow for more air to flow across the entire bed. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideThe key to a good night’s sleep is finding the right mattress that provides the perfect balance of support and cushioning. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers prefer mattresses with a medium feel. These are closer to the soft end.

Side sleepers under 130 pounds will love the plush padding of the Moonlight and Dusk models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. The majority of sleepers in this weight range will enjoy the models’ blend of powerful contouring and support.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. The firmer feel of these models will prevent side sleepers who are heavier than 230 pounds from sinking too deeply into their beds. Helix Dynamic Foam provides cushioning and bounce. The Plus is made for larger people. The foam comfort layers provide the needed cradling to relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers require a mixture of support, contouring, and cushioning. Side sleepers prefer less cushioning.

To avoid spinal misalignment and sinking, back sleeping requires some extra support. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why back sleepers may choose mattresses that feel firmer than the side sleepers’, but not as stiff and comfortable as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

A wide variety of options are available for those who weigh between 130 – 230 lbs. The Plus or Twilight might be a good choice for back sleepers who are in this weight range. Both provide enough plushness to cushion the spine and great support for the lower back. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

For those who weigh more over 230 pounds who sleep on their backs, the Plus, Twilight, and Dawn are great options. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because the majority of an individual’s weight is in their torsos, Stomach sleepers tend to be more prone to sinking than other positions, putting greater pressure on their mattresses. If they are too far down, their spines could become twisted and form a U-shaped shape. Later aches and pains may result from this. These stomach sleepers should have a mattress that’s firmer, supportive, and provides enough support to maintain their spine alignment.

The firmer Helix versions will be most comfortable for stomach sleepers, who require a level surface to preserve proper spinal alignment and alignment. If you are over 130 pounds, the Plus or Dawn might be the best option for you. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

The Midnight is appropriate for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds since it feels medium-firm. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. The Twilight may also work well for stomach sleepers of lighter weight, especially those weighing between 130 and 230lbs.
