Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight are the softest versions available from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

The Sunset is produced by Helix. Helix considered side sleepers when designing the Sunset and Midnight, as well as the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight and Dawn, as well as Dusk & Dawn, were designed with stomach and back sleeping in mind. The Plus is designed especially for larger individuals. Helix mattresses are designed with specific weight categories in mind. However, some people may like how it feels.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. This optional update extends the coil system to provide zonal support for spinal alignment. This is accomplished by supporting the hips while allowing the shoulders to descend farther. The top of the cushion is quilted in the Luxe edition to give it a plusher feel. Tencel cover allows for better ventilation of the mattress, while also removing moisture. The upgrade comes with a 15-year warranty, in addition to the standard 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. Plus measures 13 inches. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. The comfort layers’ latex-like polyfoam, however, is springier than ordinary memory foam. Because of the springiness emanating from the coil’s centre, you may be able detect your partner’s movements throughout a night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

Two comfort layers make up the Plus. They prevent most coil motions reaching the core of the springy coils.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. Softer mattresses provide better support. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Twilight and Dawn have a harder sensation, which will increase resistance to pressure points. This reduces the efficacy these products in this area.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform well for hybrids when it comes down to sleeping cool.

Because memory foam mattresses often retain heat, they can make you feel warm while you sleep. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. It reduces sinkage when people sit or lay on the edges of their beds. Every model has a different level support due to its structure and stiffness.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

The most luxurious models are Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset, so you’ll sink less while you sleep or sit close to the edge. They provide the least amount of edge support of all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The ease of movement is primarily determined by the model’s quality. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models have a more comfortable, firmer sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses provide some spring and bounce thanks to their coil cores. Many couples find this a great option for sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces make it easy for couples to move around. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is generally considered to be harmless and will disappear after a few weeks. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

You can leave the mattress open for a few hours if the smell bothers you.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. To align the spine and alleviate strain, the hips should not be pressed against the mattress. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

Side sleepers under 130 pounds will love the plush padding of the Moonlight and Dusk models. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

Side sleepers between 130 and 220 pounds can use the Midnight or Dusk, which are firm and comfortable. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

If you are a side sleeping person who weighs more than 230lbs, the Plus, and to a lesser extent the Twilight, are your best options. This model’s firmer feel will help side sleepers not sink too deeply into their bed. Helix Dynamic Foam provides cushioning and bounce. The Plus is made for larger people. The foam comfort layers provide the needed cradling to relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

Back sleeping typically requires a bit extra support and hardness, especially in the lumbar region to prevent sinking too deeply and causing spinal misalignment. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight could be the best choice for back sleepers less than 130 lbs, depending on their requirements. It provides the right amount of support and cushioning that this sleeping position requires.

The options are endless for people who weigh between 130 and 220 pounds. Back sleepers that fall into this weight range might do well in the Twilight or the Plus. Both offer sufficient cushioning for the spine and excellent support for the lower part of the back. Due to their reliable support and reasonable firmness, they are both Dusk and Dawn are also excellent.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because the majority of an individual’s weight is in their torsos, Stomach sleepers tend to be more prone to sinking than other positions, putting greater pressure on their mattresses. They run the danger of pushing their spines out of their normal alignment and forming a U shape if they drop too far. Later aches and pains may result from this. Stomach sleepers require a mattress that is firmer and more supportive. It should also have enough push-back to support their backs.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Because of their support and hardness, the central region of the mattress can reduce the risk of weight loss. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. Heavy people may sink too much. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
