Helix Mattress Smell

Overview Helix Mattress Smell

Helix, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, is well-known for its sleep studies. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Mattress Smell

Helix Moonlight and the Sunset The softest versions from the manufacturer are Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset The most often used models are Helix Twilight, Helix Dawn, and Helix Plus. Helix Plus are the strongest models in this line.

Helix produces the Sunset. Helix has side sleepers in mind while designing the Sunset, the Midnight, and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight and Dawn, as well as Dusk & Dawn, were designed with stomach and back sleeping in mind. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Except for the Plus, all models are available in the normal and luxe editions. This optional update extends the coil system to provide zonal support for spinal alignment. This works by supporting the hips and allowing the shoulders to drop further. To give the cushion a plush feeling, the Luxe version of the top quilt is applied to it. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. In addition to the 10-year standard guarantee, the upgrade includes a 15 year warranty.

Standard versions of the Dawn and Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight and Sunset are 12 inches thick. The luxurious versions are 14 inches. Plus is also 13 inches thick. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

We’ll review each Helix mattress, including its construction and reviews. We’ll also give you some benefits to help you choose the right model.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses perform well at preventing movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. However, the comfort layers’ latex-like, polyfoam is more springy than regular memory foam. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

The memory foam layers and soft feel of the Helix models make the Dusk and Sunset absorb the most motion than any other models.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. The amount of motion transmission during the moonlight, dawn and midnight is very low, which may lessen your ability to go to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. are better met by the softer mattresses. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is made especially for those who weigh more, and it may effectively alleviate pressure spots for people who sleep in this category. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

Memory foam mattresses can cause you to feel warm as you sleep. The mattress often stores heat and keeps it. To counter heat loss, the coils of these mattresses allow air to flow through to aid in cooling.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Each Helix model has an encasement that is strengthened within the coil’s core. The coil’s core is strengthened, so there is less sinkage when the person sits or lies on the edge of their bed. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. Because to their sturdy build, they also provide superb edge support. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight or Sunset are the most expensive models. This means that you will sink less when you sleep, and you can sit closer to the edge. They provide the least amount of edge support of all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s quality primarily sets the ease of movement apart as a separate class. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight models and Dawn models feel more firm and pleasant. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The amount of conforming or sinking that the foam layers provide can influence the sexual experience depending on how it is made.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. Additionally, dusk and midnight are ideal times for sex. However, moonlight, sunset and sunrise will likely make things more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces which may limit motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is often considered to be normal and goes away within a few hours. Helix offers a variety of mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

If the smell is bothersome, you might leave the mattress out in a well-ventilated place for a few days.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideA mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers often prefer mattresses that have a “medium” feel. This is closer to the soft side of the range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. The Moonlight is the best option for those who desire a cozier setting.

Side sleepers who are between 130 and 230 lbs should be able to use the Midnight/Dusk. Models’ combination of support and contouring will appeal to most sleepers who are in this weight range.

If you are a side-sleeper who is more than 230 lbs, the Plus and, to some extent, the Twilight will be your best choices. This model’s firmer feel will help side sleepers not sink too deeply into their bed. Helix Dynamic Foam gives the Plus cushioning and bounce. And, because the Plus is built for larger individuals, the foam comfort layers provide the required cradling that relieves pressure from the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

To avoid spinal misalignment and sinking, back sleeping requires some extra support. Your spine should be balanced by the position of your back on a bed.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. Back sleepers with this weight might find the Plus or Twilight suitable. They both provide sufficient plushness to support the spine and the lower back. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. They offer great support for weight ranges to prevent hips and backs from sinking under the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

The majority of someone’s weight is carried by their torsos. Stomach sleepers put greater strain on their mattresses and have a propensity to sink deeper than other positions. If they fall too far, they can push their spines out from their normal alignment. This can lead to later aches, and pains. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. If you are over 130 pounds, the Plus or Dawn might be the best option for you. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because the Midnight feels medium-firm it’s suitable for stomach sleepers below 130 pounds. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. The Twilight may also work well for stomach sleepers of lighter weight, especially those weighing between 130 and 230lbs.
