Helix Mattress Twilight: 2023 Full Review

Helix Mattress Twilight

Overview Helix Mattress Twilight

Helix, a mattress manufacturer selling direct to consumers, is known for its sleep studies. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven options in the Helix series that can be used to meet different preferences. Helix Mattress Twilight

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight are the softest versions available from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn Helix Plus and Helix Plus have the most common use models. Helix Plus is the firmest model in the Helix Plus line.

Helix produces the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is made especially for larger people. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. This optional update extends the coil system to provide zonal support for spinal alignment. The hips are supported while the shoulders drop farther. To give the cushion a plush feeling, the Luxe version of the top quilt is applied to it. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. Additionally, the Plus measures 13 inches in thickness. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

Two comfort layers make up the Plus. They prevent most coil motions reaching the core of the springy coils.

The mattress may feel less vibratory because of this.

The amount of noise transferred to the mattress is therefore reduced. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

One of the benefits of Helix mattresses is pressure reduction, which is partly attributable to the layers of memory foam, polyfoam, and pocketed coils. The foam is able to induce deep relaxation and self cradling, which can reduce pressure points like the hips. Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. are more demanding. Softer mattresses can better meet their needs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

The moonlight, sunset, sunrise, and night are the best times to relieve pressure. This is partly due to the plusher surfaces. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform well for hybrids when it comes down to sleeping cool.

Memory foam mattresses have a reputation for making you feel hot while you sleep. It often holds on to heat all night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness combined with its lack of sinkage make it cooler than any other type. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Every Helix model is equipped with an encasement, which is strengthened within its core. The coil’s core is strengthened, so there is less sinkage when the person sits or lies on the edge of their bed. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn offer the best edge support, thanks to their solid design. Because to their sturdy build, they also provide superb edge support. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

The most luxurious models are Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset, so you’ll sink less while you sleep or sit close to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The ease of movement is primarily determined by the model’s quality. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight models and Dawn models feel more firm and pleasant. With the powerful pushback of the body, Dawn and Twilight models make it much easier to get out of bed.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. The amount of conforming or sinking that the foam layers provide can influence the sexual experience depending on how it is made.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. Additionally, dusk, midnight, and plus are ideal times for sex, but moonlight and sunset will probably make things more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is generally considered to be harmless and will disappear after a few weeks. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix mattresses are hybrids. Their coil cores allow more air to circulate across the bed because they have multiple coils. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideTo sleep well on your side, you need a mattress that offers the right balance of support and cushioning. To align the spine and alleviate strain, the hips should not be pressed against the mattress. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

Side sleepers between 130 and 220 pounds can use the Midnight or Dusk, which are firm and comfortable. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

The Plus and, in a lesser amount, the Twilight are the best options for side sleepers who weigh more than 220 pounds. People who fall into this category of side sleepers will feel the models’ firmer feeling and not sink too deep into their beds. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. The posture of your back on the bed ensures that your spine is reasonably even.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight might be the best option for back-sleepers under 130 pounds depending on their needs. This mattress provides the perfect amount of support and cushioning for back sleepers.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. Back sleepers with this weight might find the Plus or Twilight suitable. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

For those who weigh more over 230 pounds who sleep on their backs, the Plus, Twilight, and Dawn are great options. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

The majority of someone’s weight is carried by their torsos. Stomach sleepers tend to be more prone to sinking than other positions, putting greater pressure on their mattresses. If they fall too far, they can push their spines out from their normal alignment. It could cause aches or pains in the future. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

Helix versions that are firmer will be more comfortable for stomach-sleepers, who require a level surface in order to maintain their spinal alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Because of their support and hardness, the central region of the mattress can reduce the risk of weight loss. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it feels medium-firm, The Midnight is ideal for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 lbs. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. The Twilight might be suitable for stomach sleepers with lighter weights, particularly those who weigh between 130-230 pounds.
