Helix, a mattress manufacturer selling direct to consumers, is known for its sleep studies. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven options in the Helix series that can be used to meet different preferences. Helix Mattress Uk

Helix Sunset & Helix Moonlight: These are the softest models from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight is one example of a medium model. Helix Dusk is another. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn and Helix Plus are the most used models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Except for the Plus, all models are available in the normal and luxe editions. This optional update extends the coil system to provide zonal support for spinal alignment. This is accomplished by supporting the hips while allowing the shoulders to descend farther. The top of the cushion is quilted in the Luxe edition to give it a plusher feel. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. Plus measures 13 inches. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

We’ll be looking at the features, construction, reviews, and other aspects of each Helix mattress. We’ll also highlight some of the possible benefits so you can choose which model suits you best.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideThe majority of Helix mattresses are excellent at preventing movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. However, the comfort layers’ latex-like, polyfoam is more springy than regular memory foam. Because of the springiness emanating from the coil’s centre, you may be able detect your partner’s movements throughout a night.

The memory foam layers and soft feel of the Helix models make the Dusk and Sunset absorb the most motion than any other models.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

One of the benefits of Helix mattresses is pressure reduction, which is partly attributable to the layers of memory foam, polyfoam, and pocketed coils. The foam is able to induce deep relaxation and self cradling, which can reduce pressure points like the hips. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. For those who like to sleep on their stomach or back or who weigh more than 230 pounds, however, firmer mattresses are recommended.

Moonlight, dusk and sunset provide the best pressure relief, partly because they have plusher surfaces. The Plus is designed for heavier people and may help to alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn have a harder sensation, which will increase resistance to pressure points. This reduces the efficacy these products in this area.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Every Helix model is equipped with an encasement, which is strengthened within its core. It reduces sinkage when people sit or lay on the edges of their beds. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn, for instance, offer excellent edge support thanks to their sturdy designs. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. It is difficult to walk on the surface because to the deep cradling and sink provided by the softer Moonlight and the setting sun.

Twilight and Dawn models on the other side have a firmer, pleasanter sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The Line with a Plus bed has two layers of comfort. However, it’s a little more difficult to move than other hybrids.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight’s smooth surfaces make moving about simpler, making them the best options for couples. Additionally, dusk and midnight are ideal times for sex. However, moonlight, sunset and sunrise will likely make things more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

All Helix models initially have the standard amount of “new mattress scent,” which is present with all foam mattresses.

This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix offers several mattress options.

Helix mattresses are hybrids. Their coil cores allow more air to circulate across the bed because they have multiple coils. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideTo sleep well on your side, you need a mattress that offers the right balance of support and cushioning. To relieve strain and align the spine, the hips and shoulders need to be free to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

Side bed sleepers less than 130lbs will enjoy the plush padding on the Moonlight and Dusk models. People who prefer a more cozy atmosphere will love the Moonlight.

Side sleepers between 130 to 230 pounds are best suited for the Midnight and Dusk’s firmness. These sleepers will appreciate the models’ combination of strong contouring and support.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic Foam provides cushioning and bounce. The Plus is made for larger people. The foam comfort layers provide the needed cradling to relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.

To prevent spinal misalignment, back sleeping usually requires a little more support and hardness, particularly in the lumbar area. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

Back sleepers tend to choose mattresses that are firmer than side sleepers, but not as stiff or flexible as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It offers the ideal amount support and cushioning to this sleeping position.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight and Dawn are great choices for those who sleep on their backs and weigh more than 230 pounds. To prevent hips from sinking into the mattress, they provide great support for the weight range.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach sleepers place greater stress on their mattresses and are more likely to sink further than in other positions. They run the danger of pushing their spines out of their normal alignment and forming a U shape if they drop too far. Later aches and pains may result from this. Ultimately, stomach sleepers need a mattress that is firmer, more supportive, and has enough push-back to keep their backs in alignment.

Helix models that are thicker and more comfortable will suit stomach sleepers. They need a level surface to ensure proper spinal alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Thanks to their support and hardiness, the central part of the mattress is strong enough not to cause excessive weight loss. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. The Twilight might be suitable for stomach sleepers with lighter weights, particularly those who weigh between 130-230 pounds.
