Helix Mattress Vs Tempurpedic

Overview Helix Mattress Vs Tempurpedic

Helix, an online mattress manufacturer that sells directly to consumers, is well-known because of its sleep study. This quiz will help you choose the right mattress based upon your body weight, preferred position and sleeping style. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Mattress Vs Tempurpedic

Helix Sunset & Helix Moonlight: These are the softest models from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight (and Helix Dusk) are two models that fall within the medium category. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus is the firmest model in the Helix Plus line.

Helix produces the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light, Dusk and Dawn were designed with stomach- and back sleepers at heart. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix has designed each mattress with specific weights in mind. Some people might also enjoy the way it feels.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. Upgrades come with an additional 15-year warranty in addition the usual 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. Since Helix mattresses may be high-profile, you might need to have large pockets.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses perform well at preventing movement. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

Two comfort layers make up the Plus. They prevent most coil motions reaching the core of the springy coils.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

This reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted across the mattress. The amount of motion transmission during the moonlight, dawn and midnight is very low, which may lessen your ability to go to sleep.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. Softer mattresses provide better support. For those who like to sleep on their stomach or back or who weigh more than 230 pounds, however, firmer mattresses are recommended.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is specially designed for heavier sleepers and may reduce pressure points. Due to Twilight and Dawn’s more intense sensations, sleepers will be less likely to experience pressure points. This can reduce the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. However, these mattresses’ coils allow for air flow to help counter heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness combined with its lack of sinkage make it cooler than any other type. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Every Helix model is equipped with an encasement, which is strengthened within its core. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Every model has a different level support due to its structure and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. These strong, sturdy products also provide great edge support. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight, Sunset and Sunset are the most luxurious models. You’ll feel less sinking while you sleep or be close to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s overall quality is what separates the ease of movement from any other class. It is difficult to walk on the surface because to the deep cradling and sink provided by the softer Moonlight and the setting sun.

Twilight models and Dawn models feel more firm and pleasant. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The two-layer comfort system of the Line with the Plus may make the bed a little harder to move about on than other hybrids, but the firmness still allows for a sufficient amount of movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses provide some spring and bounce thanks to their coil cores. Many couples find this a great option for sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have plush, soft surface that could restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models have the same amount of “new mattress smell” as all foam mattresses.

This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix offers several mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

If the scent bothers you, you could choose to leave the mattress exposed in a well-ventilated space for a few hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

Side sleepers between 130 and 220 pounds can use the Midnight or Dusk, which are firm and comfortable. Models’ combination of support and contouring will appeal to most sleepers who are in this weight range.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic Foam gives the Plus cushioning and bounce. And, because the Plus is built for larger individuals, the foam comfort layers provide the required cradling that relieves pressure from the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

To avoid spinal misalignment and sinking, back sleeping requires some extra support. The posture of your back on the bed ensures that your spine is reasonably even.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. They both provide sufficient plushness to support the spine and the lower back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight or Dawn are great options if you weigh more than 220 pounds and prefer to sleep on your back. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. They run the danger of pushing their spines out of their normal alignment and forming a U shape if they drop too far. This could lead to aches and pains later. Stomach sleepers require a mattress that is firmer and more supportive. It should also have enough push-back to support their backs.

Helix models with a firmer surface will be the most comfortable for stomach sleepers. This is because they require a level surface for proper spinal alignment. People who are more than 130 lbs and who wish to sleep well may choose the Plus or Dawn. Thanks to their support and hardiness, the central part of the mattress is strong enough not to cause excessive weight loss. Therefore, a cushion that is comfortable will provide the support that stomach sleepers in this weight range require.

The Midnight is appropriate for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds since it feels medium-firm. For heavier people, however, the Midnight will sink too deep. The Twilight might be suitable for stomach sleepers with lighter weights, particularly those who weigh between 130-230 pounds.
