Overview Helix Midnight Luft Mattress

A direct-to-consumer mattress manufacturer called Helix is renowned for its sleep study. This quiz suggests the ideal mattress based on a person’s weight, preferred sleeping position, and sleeping style. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Midnight Luft Mattress

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight is one example of a medium model. Helix Dusk is another. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn, Helix Plus, and Helix Plus are three of the most commonly used models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix considered side sleepers when designing the Sunset and Midnight, as well as the Twilight. Lunar Light, Dusk and Dawn were designed with stomach- and back sleepers at heart. The Plus was designed specifically for those with larger bodies. Helix has designed each mattress with specific weights in mind. Some people might also enjoy the way it feels.

With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. This works by supporting the hips and allowing the shoulders to drop further. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel covers encourage ventilation and aid in moisture removal. The upgrade comes with a 15-year warranty, in addition to the standard 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. Plus measures 13 inches. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

We’ll review each Helix mattress, including its construction and reviews. We’ll also highlight some of the possible benefits so you can choose which model suits you best.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are great at keeping you from moving. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. The comfort layers’ latex-like polyfoam, however, is springier than ordinary memory foam. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

Two comfort layers are included in the Plus, which keep most coil motions from reaching its springy coil core.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

As a consequence, noise transmission is decreased over the mattress. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. The foam can be used to relax deeply and allow for self-cradling. This may help reduce pressure points such pressure points as the hips and shoulders. Side sleepers and those under 130 lbs. are more demanding. Softer mattresses will be more accommodating to their needs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

The moonlight, sunset, sunrise, and night are the best times to relieve pressure. This is partly due to the plusher surfaces. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. The Plus includes two cooling covers to help with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. As a result, less sinkage occurs when a person sits or lays on the edge of their bed. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight & Sunset are the most extravagant models. These mattresses will allow you to sink less or stay close to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s quality primarily sets the ease of movement apart as a separate class. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses have coil cores that provide spring and bounce, which couples often enjoy when having sex. The mattress’s design will determine how the foam layers affect the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight’s smooth surfaces make moving about simpler, making them the best options for couples. Additionally, dusk, midnight, and plus are ideal times for sex, but moonlight and sunset will probably make things more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces which may limit motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. As a result, the odors will dissipate quicker than they would with an all-foam mattress.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideFinding a mattress with the ideal ratio of support to cushioning is the key to sleeping well on your side. For proper alignment and relief of strain, the hips and shoulders should be free to sink into a mattress. Side sleepers will prefer mattresses with a more “medium” feel. They are closer to softening the range.

Side sleepers with a weight below 130 pounds will appreciate the plush padding offered by the Moonlight, Dusk, and Moonlight models. People who prefer a more cozy atmosphere will love the Moonlight.

Side sleepers between 130 and 220 pounds can use the Midnight or Dusk, which are firm and comfortable. These sleepers will appreciate the models’ combination of strong contouring and support.

If you are a side sleeping person who weighs more than 230lbs, the Plus, and to a lesser extent the Twilight, are your best options. This model’s firmer feel will help side sleepers not sink too deeply into their bed. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.

Back sleeping typically requires a bit extra support and hardness, especially in the lumbar region to prevent sinking too deeply and causing spinal misalignment. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why back sleepers choose mattresses that have a firmer feel than side sleepers and not as stiff as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It provides the ideal amount to support this sleeping position and offers cushioning.

People who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds have many options. Back sleepers that fall into this weight range might do well in the Twilight or the Plus. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. They offer great support for weight ranges to prevent hips and backs from sinking under the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach sleepers place greater stress on their mattresses and are more likely to sink further than in other positions. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

Helix models with a firmer surface will be the most comfortable for stomach sleepers. This is because they require a level surface for proper spinal alignment. Those who weigh more than 130 pounds who want to sleep well might choose the Plus and Dawn. Because of their support and hardness, the central region of the mattress can reduce the risk of weight loss. To provide stomach sleepers with this weight, a cushion which is comfortable will be sufficient.

Because it feels medium-firm, The Midnight is ideal for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 lbs. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
