Overview Helix Sunset Luxe Mattress Reviews

Helix, a mattress manufacturer selling direct to consumers, is known for its sleep studies. This quiz suggests the ideal mattress based on a person’s weight, preferred sleeping position, and sleeping style. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Helix Sunset Luxe Mattress Reviews

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight The manufacturer’s softest versions are Helix Sunset or Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus is the firmest model in the Helix Plus line.

Helix makes the Sunset. Helix considers side sleepers when designing the Sunsets, Midnights, and Twilight. Lunar Light The Midnight, Dusk, and Dawn have been designed with stomach and back sleepers in mind. The Plus is made especially for larger people. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Each model, with the exception of the Plus, comes in both the normal and Luxe editions. The optional update increases the coil system to provide zonallumbar support. This will help in better spinal alignment. The hips are supported while the shoulders drop farther. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. Tencel covers allow for ventilation to the mattress and help remove moisture. The upgrade comes with a 15-year warranty, in addition to the standard 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

We’ll review each Helix mattress, including its construction and reviews. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideThe majority of Helix mattresses are excellent at preventing movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. The comfort layers’ latex like polyfoam are springier that ordinary memory foam. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers, or those who weigh less than 130 lbs., have different needs. Softer mattresses can better meet their needs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

Because of their plusher surfaces, the moonlight, dusk-sunset, sunset and midnight provide the most effective pressure relief. The Plus was designed specifically for those with more weight and may be effective in relieving pressure points for those who fall into this category. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

When it comes to sleeping cool, Helix mattresses perform around average for hybrids.

Memory foam mattresses have a reputation for making you feel hot while you sleep. It often holds on to heat all night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness and lack of sinkage help it sleep cooler than the other types. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Each Helix model has an encasement that is strengthened within the coil’s core. As a result, less sinkage occurs when a person sits or lays on the edge of their bed. Each model, however, has a different degree of edge support. This is due in large part to its quality and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Dusk, Midnight, or Plus are sufficient to support the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight or Sunset are the most expensive models. This means that you will sink less when you sleep, and you can sit closer to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. Because of the sinking Moonlight and setting sun, it is very difficult to walk on the surface.

Twilight models and Dawn models feel more firm and pleasant. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses are known for their coil cores which provide some spring and bounce. Many couples enjoy Helix mattress sex. The mattress’s design will determine how the foam layers affect the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. Dusk, midnight, plus, and plus are the best times for sex. Moonlight and sunset, however, will make it more challenging. These models have soft, plush surfaces that can restrict movement.

Off-Gassing

Helix models are initially equipped with the standard “new mattress fragrance” which is common for all foam mattresses.

This smell is generally considered to be harmless and will disappear after a few weeks. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Because Helix mattresses are hybrids, their coil cores provide more air to move across the whole bed. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. For proper alignment and relief of strain, the hips and shoulders should be free to sink into a mattress. Side sleepers are more comfortable with mattresses that feel “medium”, closer to the soft range.

Side sleepers under 130 pounds will love the plush padding of the Moonlight and Dusk models. People who prefer a more cozy atmosphere will love the Moonlight.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. This weight range is the majority of those who will benefit from the models’ powerful contouring and support.

If you are a side-sleeper who is more than 230 lbs, the Plus and, to some extent, the Twilight will be your best choices. This model’s firmer feel will help side sleepers not sink too deeply into their bed. Helix Dynamic Foam gives the Plus cushioning and bounce. And, because the Plus is built for larger individuals, the foam comfort layers provide the required cradling that relieves pressure from the shoulders and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. Your spine will remain fairly level by how your back is placed on the bed.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the right choice for backs that weigh less than 130lbs. It depends on your needs. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

The options are endless for people who weigh between 130 and 220 pounds. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus and Twilight mattresses are excellent options for those who weigh over 230lbs who sleep on the back. They offer great support for weight ranges to prevent hips and backs from sinking under the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

As the main weight bearing part of a person’s body, torsos are usually heavier. Stomach sleepers are more likely to put stress on their mattresses, and sink deeper than others. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. This could lead to aches and pains later. These stomach sleepers should have a mattress that’s firmer, supportive, and provides enough support to maintain their spine alignment.

Helix versions that are firmer will be more comfortable for stomach-sleepers, who require a level surface in order to maintain their spinal alignment. People who are more than 130 lbs and who wish to sleep well may choose the Plus or Dawn. Thanks to their support and hardiness, the central part of the mattress is strong enough not to cause excessive weight loss. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight is also suitable for stomach sleepers who are lighter, especially those who weigh between 130 to 230 pounds.
