Helix Twilight Mattress

Overview Helix Twilight Mattress

Helix, an online mattress manufacturer that sells directly to consumers, is well-known because of its sleep study. This quiz suggests the ideal mattress based on a person’s weight, preferred sleeping position, and sleeping style. There are seven options in the Helix series that can be used to meet different preferences. Helix Twilight Mattress

Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn, Helix Plus, and Helix Plus are three of the most commonly used models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix considered side sleepers when designing the Sunset and Midnight, as well as the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Every model, except the Plus comes in both the Luxe or normal editions. The optional update increases the coil system to provide zonallumbar support. This will help in better spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. To give the cushion a plush feeling, the Luxe version of the top quilt is applied to it. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. Along with the 10-year guarantee, the upgrade also includes a 15-year warranty.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight and Sunset versions are 12 inches thick. Twilight’s luxurious version is 14 inches. Plus is also 13 in thick. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We’ll review each Helix mattress, including its construction and reviews. We’ll also give you some benefits to help you choose the right model.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideThe majority of Helix mattresses are excellent at preventing movement. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

Due to the memory foam layers and softer feel compared to the other Helix models, the Dusk and Sunset both absorb the most motion of all the Helix models.

Two comfort layers make up the Plus. They prevent most coil motions reaching the core of the springy coils.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses have a number of benefits, including pressure reduction. This can partly be attributed to the layers memory foam, polyfoam and pocketed coils. The foam allows deep relaxation and self-cradling which may reduce pressure on pressure points like the hips, shoulders and hips. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. Softer mattresses will be more accommodating to their needs. For those who like to sleep on their stomach or back or who weigh more than 230 pounds, however, firmer mattresses are recommended.

Moonlight, dusk and sunset provide the best pressure relief, partly because they have plusher surfaces. The Plus is designed for heavier people and may help to alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

Memory foam mattresses can cause you to feel warm as you sleep. The mattress often stores heat and keeps it. But these mattresses’ coils allow air to flow through them to assist counteract heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. Two cooling covers are included with the Plus to further aid with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Every Helix model comes with an encasement which is reinforced within the core of the coil. This reduces sinkage when someone lies on their back or sits on their bed edge. However, owing in large part to the quality of the construction and stiffness, each model has a varying level of edge support.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. Due to their solid construction, they provide outstanding edge support. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight, Sunset and Sunset are the most luxurious models. You’ll feel less sinking while you sleep or be close to the edge. These mattresses offer the most support at the edges than any other Helix mattress.

Ease of Movement

The model’s ability to move is the main distinguishing feature. Because of the sinking Moonlight and setting sun, it is very difficult to walk on the surface.

Twilight and Dawn models however, feel firmer and more comfortable. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses can provide spring and bounce due to their coil cores. This is something many couples love when having sex. The amount of conforming or sinking that the foam layers provide can influence the sexual experience depending on how it is made.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. Additionally, dusk, midnight, and plus are ideal times for sex, but moonlight and sunset will probably make things more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces that can restrict movement.

Off-Gassing

Helix models have the same amount of “new mattress smell” as all foam mattresses.

This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix has many mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. To alleviate strain and align your spine, you need your hips and shoulders to sink into the mattress. Mattresses with a “medium” feel, closer to the soft end of the range, are often preferred by side sleepers.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.

Side sleepers between 130 to 230 pounds are best suited for the Midnight and Dusk’s firmness. These sleepers will appreciate the models’ combination of strong contouring and support.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic Faam layers give cushioning and bounce. Plus models are designed for larger people. Foam comfort layers provide the necessary support to alleviate pressure on the shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

To avoid spinal misalignment and sinking, back sleeping requires some extra support. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

A wide variety of options are available for those who weigh between 130 – 230 lbs. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

For those who weigh more over 230 pounds who sleep on their backs, the Plus, Twilight, and Dawn are great options. These pillows provide excellent support and help to keep hips from sinking into your mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

The majority of someone’s weight is carried by their torsos. Stomach-sleepers are more likely than other sleepers to place greater strain on their mattresses. They also tend to sink deeper than those in other positions. If they sink too far, they run the risk of pushing their spines out their normal alignment. This can lead to later aches, and pains. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.

The firmer Helix versions will be most comfortable for stomach sleepers, who require a level surface to preserve proper spinal alignment and alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. Because of their support and hardness, the central region of the mattress can reduce the risk of weight loss. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it is medium-firm, the Midnight is suitable for stomach sleepers less than 130 pounds. However, heavier people will sink too far. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
