Helix Very Soft Mattress

Overview Helix Very Soft Mattress

Helix, a mattress manufacturer selling direct to consumers, is known for its sleep studies. This quiz will help you choose the right mattress based upon your body weight, preferred position and sleeping style. To accommodate different sleeping preferences, the Helix series offers seven variants. Helix Very Soft Mattress

Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight The manufacturer’s softest versions are Helix Sunset or Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight is one example of a medium model. Helix Dusk is another. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn Helix Plus and Helix Plus have the most common use models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix kept side sleepers in mind when creating the Sunset, Midnight and Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight and Dawn, as well as Dusk & Dawn, were designed with stomach and back sleeping in mind. The Plus is designed especially for larger individuals. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

All models, except for the Plus edition, come in both the Luxe as well as the normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. This works by supporting the hips and allowing the shoulders to drop further. To give the cushion a more luxurious feel, the Luxe edition quilts the top. Tencel cover allows for better ventilation of the mattress, while also removing moisture. Upgrades come with an additional 15-year warranty in addition the usual 10-year guarantee.

Standard versions of the Dawn and Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight and Sunset are 12 inches thick. The luxurious versions are 14 inches. The Plus is 13 inches thick in addition. The Helix mattress may need large pockets as any of these heights could be regarded high-profile.

We will review the specifications, construction, and customer reviews for each Helix mattress. We’ll also highlight some of the possible benefits so you can choose which model suits you best.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideThe majority of Helix mattresses are excellent at preventing movement. Foam layers can absorb much of the movement. The comfort layers’ latex like polyfoam are springier that ordinary memory foam. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

Two comfort layers make up the Plus. They prevent most coil motions reaching the core of the springy coils.

This may result in less vibration traveling over the mattress’ surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. The foam is able to induce deep relaxation and self cradling, which can reduce pressure points like the hips. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. are better met by the softer mattresses. Firmer mattresses would be a better choice for those who sleep on the stomach or back, or who are more than 230lbs.

Because of their plusher surfaces, the moonlight, dusk-sunset, sunset and midnight provide the most effective pressure relief. The Plus is made especially for those who weigh more, and it may effectively alleviate pressure spots for people who sleep in this category. Twilight’s stronger sensation will cause sleepers to be more resistant to pressure points, which can decrease the efficacy and effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix hybrid mattresses are around average when it comes to cooling down.

Memory foam mattresses can cause you to feel warm as you sleep. The mattress often stores heat and keeps it. To counter heat loss, the coils of these mattresses allow air to flow through to aid in cooling.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. The coil’s core is strengthened, so there is less sinkage when the person sits or lies on the edge of their bed. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn, for instance, offer excellent edge support thanks to their sturdy designs. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The ease of movement is primarily determined by the model’s quality. It is hard to walk on the ground due to the sinking Moonlight, which is softer than the Sun.

Twilight and Dawn models have a more comfortable, firmer sensation. With the powerful pushback of the body, Dawn and Twilight models make it much easier to get out of bed.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses can provide spring and bounce due to their coil cores. This is something many couples love when having sex. Depending on the design of the mattress, the degree of conforming and sinking provided by the foam layers may enhance or detract from the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn and Twilight have smooth surfaces that make moving around easier, making them excellent choices for couples. Also, while dusk, night, and plus are great times to have sex, moonlight and sunset can make it more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces which may limit motion.

Off-Gassing

All Helix models initially have the standard amount of “new mattress scent,” which is present with all foam mattresses.

The smell is usually considered safe and disappears after a few days. Helix offers many different mattress options.

Helix mattresses are hybrids. Their coil cores allow more air to circulate across the bed because they have multiple coils. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideThe key to a good night’s sleep is finding the right mattress that provides the perfect balance of support and cushioning. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Mattresses with a “medium” feel, closer to the soft end of the range, are often preferred by side sleepers.

Side sleepers under 130 pounds will love the plush padding of the Moonlight and Dusk models. The Moonlight is for those who enjoy a more comfortable environment.

Side sleepers between 130 to 230 pounds are best suited for the Midnight and Dusk’s firmness. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who fall into this category of side sleepers will feel the models’ firmer feeling and not sink too deep into their beds. Helix Dynamic Foam provides cushioning and bounce. The Plus is made for larger people. The foam comfort layers provide the needed cradling to relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers also need a combination of support and contouring. But they require less cushioning than side-sleepers.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. Your spine will be fairly even if your back is positioned on the bed.

This is why back sleepers often choose mattresses that are firmer than those preferred by side sleepers but not as stiff as those preferred by stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. This mattress provides the perfect amount of support and cushioning for back sleepers.

There are many options for those who weigh between 130-230 pounds and between 130-230 pounds. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both offer enough support to the lower back and spine with sufficient plushness. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus, Twilight and Dawn are great choices for those who sleep on their backs and weigh more than 230 pounds. To prevent hips from sinking into the mattress, they provide great support for the weight range.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach sleepers are more likely to put stress on their mattresses, and sink deeper than others. If they are too far down, their spines could become twisted and form a U-shaped shape. This could lead to aches and pains later. Ultimately, stomach sleepers need a mattress that is firmer, more supportive, and has enough push-back to keep their backs in alignment.

The firmer Helix versions will be most comfortable for stomach sleepers, who require a level surface to preserve proper spinal alignment and alignment. If you are over 130 pounds, the Plus or Dawn might be the best option for you. Because they are strong and supportive, the central portion of the mattress will reduce the chance of you losing weight. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

Because the Midnight feels medium-firm it’s suitable for stomach sleepers below 130 pounds. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
