Helix Vs Nohla Mattress

Overview Helix Vs Nohla Mattress

Helix, a direct-to-consumer mattress company, is well-known for its sleep studies. This quiz will determine which mattress is best for you. It takes into account your weight, preferred sleep position, and personal sleeping preferences. There are seven options in the Helix series that can be used to meet different preferences. Helix Vs Nohla Mattress

Helix Moonlight and the Sunset The softest versions from the manufacturer are Helix Sunset and Helix Moonlight. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn Helix Plus and Helix Plus have the most common use models. The line’s firmest models are Helix Plus.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix was conscious of side sleepers while creating the Sunset (the Midnight) and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk, Dawn and Dawn were created with stomach and back sleepers as consideration. The Plus is made especially for larger people. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Except for the Plus, all models are available in the normal and luxe editions. This update is optional and extends coil support to provide zonal back support, which aids in better spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. The top of the cushion is quilted in the Luxe edition to give it a plusher feel. The Tencel cover promotes ventilation into the mattress while assisting in the removal of moisture. Along with the 10-year guarantee, the upgrade also includes a 15-year warranty.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. Additionally, the Plus measures 13 inches in thickness. Since Helix mattresses may be high-profile, you might need to have large pockets.

We’ll examine the features, construction, and reviews of each of these Helix mattresses. We’ll also highlight some of the possible benefits so you can choose which model suits you best.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. Many movements are absorbed by the foam layers. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

Two comfort layers make up the Plus. They prevent most coil motions reaching the core of the springy coils.

Therefore, vibrations may be less likely to travel across the mattress’s surface.

As a result, the noise transmitted over the mattress is less. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

One of the benefits of Helix mattresses is pressure reduction, which is partly attributable to the layers of memory foam, polyfoam, and pocketed coils. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. Side sleepers (or anyone below 130 lbs) have specific needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

The moonlight, sunset, sunrise, and night are the best times to relieve pressure. This is partly due to the plusher surfaces. The Plus is specifically designed for those who are heavier and can help alleviate pressure points. Dawn and Twilight’s harder sensation will result in higher resistance to pressure points on sleepers, which lessens the efficacy of these products in this region.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform about average in hybrids for cooling down when it comes sleeping.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. These mattresses have coils that allow air to circulate through them to counter heat loss.

The Dawn is more comfortable because of its firmness and lack sinkage. To aid heat dissipation, two cooling covers are included in the Plus.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. The coil’s core is strengthened, so there is less sinkage when the person sits or lies on the edge of their bed. Every model has a different level support due to its structure and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. Because to their sturdy build, they also provide superb edge support. Dusk or Midnight, plus provide adequate support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight, Sunset and Sunset are the most luxurious models. You’ll feel less sinking while you sleep or be close to the edge. They offer the most edge support among all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s quality primarily sets the ease of movement apart as a separate class. The surface is slippery due to the sinking Moonlight as well as the soft Moonlight.

Twilight and Dawn models on the other side have a firmer, pleasanter sensation. The powerful pushback against the body of Dawn and Twilight models makes it easier to move around and get out from bed.

The Line with the Plus has a two-layer comfort system. Although it is a bit more difficult than other hybrids to move on, the bed’s firmness allows for sufficient movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses can provide spring and bounce due to their coil cores. This is something many couples love when having sex. Depending on the design of the mattress, the degree of conforming and sinking provided by the foam layers may enhance or detract from the sexual experience.

Because of their smooth surfaces, the Helix Dawn’s and Twilight’s make it easy to move about. This makes them great for couples. Additionally, dusk, midnight, and plus are ideal times for sex, but moonlight and sunset will probably make things more difficult. These models have soft, plush surfaces which may limit motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models come with the standard amount “new mattress scent” that is found in all foam mattresses.

The smell is usually considered safe and disappears after a few days. Helix offers a number of various mattress options.

Helix mattresses can be described as hybrids because their coil cores make it easier for air to move around the entire bed. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.

You can leave the mattress open for a few hours if the smell bothers you.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideThe key to a good night’s sleep is finding the right mattress that provides the perfect balance of support and cushioning. To align the spine and alleviate strain, the hips should not be pressed against the mattress. Side sleepers are more comfortable with mattresses that feel “medium”, closer to the soft range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. The Moonlight is a good option for people who like a cozier atmosphere.

Side sleepers between 130 to 230 pounds are best suited for the Midnight and Dusk’s firmness. This weight range is the majority of those who will benefit from the models’ powerful contouring and support.

If you are a side sleeping person who weighs more than 230lbs, the Plus, and to a lesser extent the Twilight, are your best options. These models’ firmer feel will keep folks who fall into this type of side sleepers from sinking too deep into their beds. Helix Dynamic Faam layers give cushioning and bounce. Plus models are designed for larger people. Foam comfort layers provide the necessary support to alleviate pressure on the shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

Back sleeping typically requires a bit extra support and hardness, especially in the lumbar region to prevent sinking too deeply and causing spinal misalignment. The posture of your back on the bed ensures that your spine is reasonably even.

Back sleepers tend to choose mattresses that are firmer than side sleepers, but not as stiff or flexible as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the right choice for backs that weigh less than 130lbs. It depends on your needs. It provides the right amount of support and cushioning that this sleeping position requires.

Those who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds have a wide range of options. Back sleepers who fall within this weight range may be able to use the Plus or Twilight. Both offer enough support to the lower back and spine with sufficient plushness. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.

The Plus and Twilight mattresses are excellent options for those who weigh over 230lbs who sleep on the back. They offer great support for weight ranges to prevent hips and backs from sinking under the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

As the main weight bearing part of a person’s body, torsos are usually heavier. Stomach sleepers place greater stress on their mattresses and are more likely to sink further than in other positions. If they sink too far, they run the risk of pushing their spines out their normal alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. Stomach sleepers require a mattress that is firmer and more supportive. It should also have enough push-back to support their backs.

For stomach sleepers who need a flat surface to maintain proper spine alignment, the firmer Helix models will be more comfortable. Those who weigh more than 130 pounds who want to sleep well might choose the Plus and Dawn. Due to its hardness and support, the central area of the mattress is strong enough to prevent excessive weight loss. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. However, heavier people will sink too far. The Twilight might be suitable for stomach sleepers with lighter weights, particularly those who weigh between 130-230 pounds.
