Overview How Long Does Helix Mattress Take To Expand
Helix, a direct to consumer mattress manufacturer, is known for its sleep research. This quiz suggests the ideal mattress based on a person’s weight, preferred sleeping position, and sleeping style. The Helix series has seven different variants that will suit various sleeping preferences. How Long Does Helix Mattress Take To Expand
Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight, Helix Dusk and Helix Twilight are two examples for medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn and Helix Plus are the most used models. Helix Plus is the firmest model in the Helix Plus line.
Helix produces the Sunset. Helix considered side sleepers when designing the Sunset and Midnight, as well as the Twilight. Lunar Light, Dusk and Dawn were designed with stomach- and back sleepers at heart. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix makes each mattress with specific weights and sleep positions in mind. But, for some people, the Plus may feel great.
With the exception of Plus, every model is available in both the Luxe and normal editions. The optional update increases the coil system to provide zonallumbar support. This will help in better spinal alignment. The hips are supported while the shoulders drop farther. To give the cushion a more luxurious feel, the Luxe edition quilts the top. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. The upgrade comes with a 15-year warranty, in addition to the standard 10-year guarantee.
The standard versions of the Dawn, Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight, Sunset, and Twilight are 12 inches thick, while the luxurious versions are 14 inches thick. Plus is also 13 in thick. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.
We’ll review each Helix mattress, including its construction and reviews. To help you decide which model could be the best for you, we’ll also list some of its possible benefits.

Helix Mattress Performance
Motion Isolation
The majority of Helix mattresses are excellent at preventing movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. However, the comfort layers’ latex-like, polyfoam is more springy than regular memory foam. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.
Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.
The Plus also has two comfort layers that prevent most coil movements from reaching the springy core of the mattress.
As a result, less vibration may travel over the surface of the mattress.
As a consequence, noise transmission is decreased over the mattress. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.
Pressure Relief
Helix mattresses reduce pressure. This is partly due to the Helix mattress’ layers of memory foam, pocketed coils, and polyfoam. The foam enables deep relaxation and self-cradling, which may help take some of the pressure off of pressure points like the hips and shoulders. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. are better met by the softer mattresses. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.
The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is designed for heavier people and may help to alleviate pressure points. Twilight’s stronger sensation will cause sleepers to be more resistant to pressure points, which can decrease the efficacy and effectiveness of these products.
Temperature Control
Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.
The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.
The Dawn’s firmness combined with its lack of sinkage make it cooler than any other type. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.
Edge Support
Every Helix model is equipped with an encasement, which is strengthened within its core. Because of this, sinkage is less when a person lies down or sits on the edge. Each model offers a different level of edge support, due to its quality and stiffness.
The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. Their sturdy construction provides excellent edge support. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.
Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset are the most luxurious models. They offer more support for your spine, while also allowing you to sleep closer to the edge. They have the lowest edge support of all Helix mattress models.
Ease of Movement
The model’s overall quality is what separates the ease of movement from any other class. It is difficult to walk on the surface because to the deep cradling and sink provided by the softer Moonlight and the setting sun.
Twilight models and Dawn models feel more firm and pleasant. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.
Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.
Sex
Helix mattresses provide some spring and bounce thanks to their coil cores. Many couples find this a great option for sex. The amount of conforming or sinking that the foam layers provide can influence the sexual experience depending on how it is made.
The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces make it easy for couples to move around. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.
Off-Gassing
Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.
This smell is often thought to be safe and goes away after a few days. Helix offers a variety of mattress options.
Helix mattresses are hybrids. Their coil cores allow more air to circulate across the bed because they have multiple coils. Therefore, the odors of Helix mattresses will dissipate more quickly than with all-foam mattresses.
If the smell is bothersome, you might leave the mattress out in a well-ventilated place for a few days.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight
Side Sleepers
A mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Mattresses with a “medium” feel, closer to the soft end of the range, are often preferred by side sleepers.
Side bed sleepers less than 130lbs will enjoy the plush padding on the Moonlight and Dusk models. For those who want a cozier environment, the Moonlight is an excellent choice.
Side sleepers between 130 and 220 pounds can use the Midnight or Dusk, which are firm and comfortable. These sleepers will appreciate the models’ combination of strong contouring and support.
The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. The firmer feel of these models will prevent side sleepers who are heavier than 230 pounds from sinking too deeply into their beds. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.
Back Sleepers
Side sleepers need less cushioning but still require support.
For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.
This is why back sleepers often choose mattresses that are firmer than those preferred by side sleepers but not as stiff as those preferred by stomach sleepers.
The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It provides the right amount of support and cushioning that this sleeping position requires.
There are many options for those who weigh between 130-230 pounds and between 130-230 pounds. These people might like the Plus or Twilight for their back. Both offer enough support to the lower back and spine with sufficient plushness. Dusk and Dawn are equally excellent for their support and firmness.
The Plus and Twilight mattresses are excellent options for those who weigh over 230lbs who sleep on the back. These mattresses provide support for all weight categories to prevent hips sinking into the mattress.
Stomach Sleepers
Because the majority of an individual’s weight is in their torsos, Stomach sleepers tend to be more prone to sinking than other positions, putting greater pressure on their mattresses. If they fall too far, they can push their spines out from their normal alignment. It could cause aches or pains in the future. The bottom line is that stomach sleepers need a mattress which is firmer, more supportive and offers enough support to align their backs.
Helix models that are thicker and more comfortable will suit stomach sleepers. They need a level surface to ensure proper spinal alignment. For those over 130lbs who wish to get a good night’s sleep, the Plus and Dawn may be a better choice. Thanks to their support and hardiness, the central part of the mattress is strong enough not to cause excessive weight loss. To provide stomach sleepers with this weight, a cushion which is comfortable will be sufficient.
The Midnight is appropriate for stomach sleepers under 130 pounds since it feels medium-firm. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
