Helix Sunset, Helix Moonlight, and Helix Sunset are the most soft versions. Helix Midnight, Helix Dusk and Helix Twilight are two examples for medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn and Helix Plus are the most used models. Helix Plus and Helix Twilight are the best-selling models in the Helix line.

Helix is responsible for the Sunset. Helix was conscious of side sleepers while creating the Sunset (the Midnight) and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is especially made for those who are bigger. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

Every model, except the Plus comes in both the Luxe or normal editions. Optional, the update expands the coil system in order to provide zonal Lumbar Support to improve spinal alignment. The hips are supported while the shoulders drop farther. The Luxe edition of the quilt is used on the top to give the cushion a plush feel. Tencel covers promote ventilation and moisture removal. Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. Foam layers absorb a lot of movement. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. Due to the coil’s springiness, you might be able to see your partner’s movements throughout their night.

Dusk, Sunset have the highest motion absorption of any Helix model due to their memory foam layers.

The Plus features two comfort layers, which stop most coil motions contacting the mattress’ springy core.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

The quantity of noise that is transferred over the mattress is reduced as a result. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses are known for their ability to reduce pressure. This is due in part to the pockets of coils and memory foam. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. Softer mattresses will be more accommodating to their needs. Firmer mattresses would be a better choice for those who sleep on the stomach or back, or who are more than 230lbs.

Moonlight, dusk and sunset provide the best pressure relief, partly because they have plusher surfaces. The Plus is specifically designed for those who are heavier and can help alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn will have a stronger sensation which will make it more difficult for sleepers to feel pressure points. This decreases the effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. However, these mattresses’ coils allow for air flow to help counter heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. To further reduce heat loss, the Plus comes with two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. It reduces sinkage when people sit or lay on the edges of their beds. However, owing in large part to the quality of the construction and stiffness, each model has a varying level of edge support.

The Dawn and Twilight, for example, provide excellent edge support due to their strong design. These strong, sturdy products also provide great edge support. Additionally, Dusk, Midnight, and Plus provide sufficient support for the edges.

The most luxurious models are Moonlight the Moonlight and Sunset, so you’ll sink less while you sleep or sit close to the edge. They provide the smallest amount of edge support than all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s design is what sets it apart from other classes. The deep sinking Moonlight and setting sun make it difficult to walk on this surface.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. It is considerably simpler to shift about and get out of bed with the Dawn and Twilight models’ powerful pushback against the body.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses are known for their coil cores which provide some spring and bounce. Many couples enjoy Helix mattress sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models may be restricted by their soft, plush surfaces.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This is a common smell that is considered to be safe and usually disappears within a few days. Helix offers several mattress options.

Helix mattresses are hybrids. Their coil cores allow more air to circulate across the bed because they have multiple coils. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

If the scent bothers you, you could choose to leave the mattress exposed in a well-ventilated space for a few hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideA mattress that has the right amount of support and cushions is key to good sleep. To relieve strain and align the spine, the hips and shoulders need to be free to sink into the mattress. Side sleepers often prefer mattresses that have a “medium” feel. This is closer to the soft side of the range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. People who prefer a more cozy atmosphere will love the Moonlight.

The fairly firm Midnight and Dusk are best suited for side sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds. The majority of sleepers in this weight range will enjoy the models’ blend of powerful contouring and support.

If you are a side-sleeper who is more than 230 lbs, the Plus and, to some extent, the Twilight will be your best choices. These models’ firmer feel will keep folks who fall into this type of side sleepers from sinking too deep into their beds. Helix Dynamic Faam layers give cushioning and bounce. Plus models are designed for larger people. Foam comfort layers provide the necessary support to alleviate pressure on the shoulders.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers require a mixture of support, contouring, and cushioning. Side sleepers prefer less cushioning.

For back sleep to be comfortable, you will need to provide support and firmness in the lumbar region. This is important to avoid sinking too deep and creating spinal misalignment. You can ensure that your spine is fairly straight by placing your back on the mattress.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight is a good option for back sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. This mattress provides the perfect amount of support and cushioning for back sleepers.

A wide variety of options are available for those who weigh between 130 – 230 lbs. Back sleepers with this weight might find the Plus or Twilight suitable. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

The Plus, Twilight or Dawn are great options if you weigh more than 220 pounds and prefer to sleep on your back. To prevent hips from sinking into the mattress, they provide great support for the weight range.

Stomach Sleepers

As the main weight bearing part of a person’s body, torsos are usually heavier. Stomach sleepers place greater stress on their mattresses and are more likely to sink further than in other positions. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. It could cause aches or pains in the future. These stomach sleepers should have a mattress that’s firmer, supportive, and provides enough support to maintain their spine alignment.

Helix models with a firmer surface will be the most comfortable for stomach sleepers. This is because they require a level surface for proper spinal alignment. Those who weigh more than 130 pounds who want to sleep well might choose the Plus and Dawn. The central region of the mattress is sturdy enough to reduce the possibility of excessive weight loss thanks to their hardness and support. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it feels medium-firm, The Midnight is ideal for stomach sleepers who weigh less than 130 lbs. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight might be suitable for stomach sleepers with lighter weights, particularly those who weigh between 130-230 pounds.
