Overview Reviews On The Helix Mattress

A direct-to-consumer mattress manufacturer called Helix is renowned for its sleep study. This quiz helps you determine the ideal mattress by analyzing your body, weight, sleeping style, and preferred sleeping position. There are seven main variants in the Helix series to suit different sleeping styles. Reviews On The Helix Mattress

Helix Sunset & Helix Moonlight: These are the softest models from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight and Helix Dusk are two examples of medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight Helix Dawn, Helix Plus, and Helix Plus are three of the most commonly used models. Helix Plus is the most reliable model in the line.

Helix produces the Sunset. Helix considered side sleepers when designing the Sunset and Midnight, as well as the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight, Dusk and Dawn are designed with stomach sleepers and backs in mind. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. Helix makes each mattress with specific weights and sleep positions in mind. But, for some people, the Plus may feel great.

All models, except for the Plus edition, come in both the Luxe as well as the normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. This works by supporting the hips and allowing the shoulders to drop further. The top of the cushion is quilted in the Luxe edition to give it a plusher feel. Tencel covers encourage ventilation and aid in moisture removal. A 15-year warranty is included with the upgrade in addition to the normal 10-year guarantee.

The Dawn, Dusk Midnight, Midnight Moonlight, Sunset and Twilight standard versions are 12 inches thick. While the luxurious versions measure 14 inches. Additionally, the Plus measures 13 inches in thickness. Helix mattresses could need substantial pockets since any of these heights might be regarded as high-profile.

We will review the specifications, construction, and customer reviews for each Helix mattress. We’ll also give you some benefits to help you choose the right model.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses are very good at controlling movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. However, comfort layers’ latex-like memory foam is much springier than regular memory foam. You may be able to sense your partner’s movements throughout the night because to the springiness that emanates from the coil’s center.

Dusk & Sunset absorb the most movement of all Helix models due to their memory foam layers.

The Plus has two comfort layers as well, which prevent the majority of coil motions from reaching the springy coil core of the mattress.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

The quantity of noise that is transferred over the mattress is reduced as a result. You might be able to sleep more easily if your partner is not around.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses reduce pressure. This is partly due to the Helix mattress’ layers of memory foam, pocketed coils, and polyfoam. Deep relaxation and self-cradling are possible with the foam, which can help relieve pressure on pressure points such as the hips or shoulders. Side sleepers and anyone less than 130 lbs. have special needs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for people who sleep on their stomachs, back, or who weigh more that 230 pounds.

Because of their plusher surfaces, the moonlight, dusk-sunset, sunset and midnight provide the most effective pressure relief. The Plus is specially designed for heavier sleepers and may reduce pressure points. Twilight’s stronger sensation will cause sleepers to be more resistant to pressure points, which can decrease the efficacy and effectiveness of these products.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform well for hybrids when it comes down to sleeping cool.

Memory foam mattresses are known for heating you while you sleep. This is because it holds heat throughout the night. The coils in these mattresses allow for air to flow through them, which helps to reduce heat loss.

The Dawn is more comfortable because of its firmness and lack sinkage. To further assist heat dissipation the Plus also includes two cooling covers.

Edge Support

Each Helix model includes an encasement made from the coil’s inner core. This reduces sinkage when someone lies on their back or sits on their bed edge. Each model, however, has a different degree of edge support. This is due in large part to its quality and stiffness.

Twilight and Dawn provide the best edge support because of their sturdy design. These strong, sturdy products also provide great edge support. Dusk and Midnight are also available. Plus provides sufficient support for edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight or Sunset are the most expensive models. This means that you will sink less when you sleep, and you can sit closer to the edge. They offer the most edge support among all Helix mattresses.

Ease of Movement

The model’s ability to move is the main distinguishing feature. The surface is slippery due to the sinking Moonlight as well as the soft Moonlight.

Twilight and Dawn models, on the other hand, have a firmer, more pleasant sensation. The powerful pushback against the body of Dawn and Twilight models makes it easier to move around and get out from bed.

The Line with Plus’s plush comfort system with two layers may make it more difficult to move, but the firmness of the mattress still allows for enough movement.

Sex

The Helix mattresses may provide some spring and bounce because of their coil cores, which many couples enjoy during sex. The degree of conforming and sinking offered by the foam layers will vary depending on how they are designed. This can either enhance or diminish the sexual experience.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. In terms of sex, the ideal times are dusk to midnight and plus. However, moonlight or sunsets will be more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models start with the same standard amount of “new-mattress scent” that all foam mattresses have.

This smell is often considered to be normal and goes away within a few hours. Helix offers a variety of mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. This means that the odors from Helix mattresses will dissipate faster than they would from an all-foam one.

You could leave the mattress unventilated for a couple of hours if you find the scent to be bothersome.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideFinding a mattress with the ideal ratio of support to cushioning is the key to sleeping well on your side. The mattress should allow the shoulders and hips to sink into it. This will help align the spine and relieve strain. Side sleepers often prefer mattresses that have a “medium” feel. This is closer to the soft side of the range.

The Dusk and Moonlight models’ plush padding will be appreciated by side bed sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. The Moonlight is a good option for people who like a cozier atmosphere.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. Most people in this weight range will love the models’ combination for powerful contouring as well as support.

The Plus and, to a lesser extent, the Twilight, are the best options if you are a side sleeper who weighs more over 230 pounds. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers require a mixture of support, contouring, and cushioning. Side sleepers prefer less cushioning.

To prevent spinal misalignment, back sleeping usually requires a little more support and hardness, particularly in the lumbar area. The posture of your back on the bed ensures that your spine is reasonably even.

This is why side sleepers prefer mattresses that are firmer, but not as rigid as stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support for this sleeping posture.

There are many options for those who weigh between 130-230 pounds and between 130-230 pounds. The Plus or Twilight might be a good choice for back sleepers who are in this weight range. Both offer sufficient cushioning for the spine and excellent support for the lower part of the back. Both Dawn and Dusk are excellent due to their solid support and moderate firmness.

The Plus and Twilight mattresses are excellent options for those who weigh over 230lbs who sleep on the back. They provide excellent support to the weight range and prevent your hips from sinking in the mattress.

Stomach Sleepers

Because torsos typically bear the bulk of a person’s weight, Stomach sleepers are more likely to put stress on their mattresses, and sink deeper than others. If they are too far down, their spines could become twisted and form a U-shaped shape. This could lead to aches and pains later. Ultimately, stomach sleepers need a mattress that is firmer, more supportive, and has enough push-back to keep their backs in alignment.

The firmer Helix versions will be most comfortable for stomach sleepers, who require a level surface to preserve proper spinal alignment and alignment. The Plus and Dawn are good options for those who weigh over 130 pounds and want to sleep well. The central region of the mattress is sturdy enough to reduce the possibility of excessive weight loss thanks to their hardness and support. Comfortable cushions will provide the support that stomach-sleepers in this weight range require.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. The Midnight is not suitable for heavier people. The Twilight may be suitable for stomach-sleepers who are lighter than 130 to 230 lbs, especially if they weigh between 130 and 220 lb.
