Helix Sunset & Helix Moonlight: These are the softest models from the manufacturer. Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk would be two examples of the medium models. Helix Sunset Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn are the most popular models. Helix Plus are the strongest models in this line.

Helix produced the Sunset. Helix has side sleepers in mind while designing the Sunset, the Midnight, and the Twilight. Lunar Light Midnight and Dawn, as well as Dusk & Dawn, were designed with stomach and back sleeping in mind. The Plus is specially designed for people who are larger. Helix creates each mattress to fit specific weight categories and sleeping positions. However, it may be appreciated by some who like its feel.

All models, except for the Plus edition, come in both the Luxe as well as the normal editions. The update, which is optional, extends the coil system to provide zonal lumbar support to aid in more effective spinal alignment. The shoulders can drop further while the hips are supported. To give it a luxurious feel, the cushion’s top is quilted with Luxe Edition. The Tencel cover promotes ventilation into the mattress while assisting in the removal of moisture. In addition to the 10-year standard guarantee, the upgrade includes a 15 year warranty.

The standard versions of the Dawn, Dusk, Midnight, Moonlight, Sunset, and Twilight are 12 inches thick, while the luxurious versions are 14 inches thick. Plus is also 13 in thick. Helix mattresses might require large pockets, as they could be viewed as high-profile.

Helix Mattress Performance

Motion Isolation

helix-dawn-sideHelix mattresses have a great track record of preventing movement. A lot of movement is often absorbed by foam layers. The latex-like polyfoam of comfort layers is, however, springier than ordinary memory. Due to the springiness emanating form the coil’s core, it is possible to sense your partner moving throughout the night.

Dusk/Sunset absorb the most motion due to their memory foam layers, which are softer than the other Helix models.

The Plus also has two comfort layers that prevent most coil movements from reaching the springy core of the mattress.

You may experience less vibration on the mattress’ surface.

The amount of noise transferred to the mattress is therefore reduced. Your ability to Sleep is likely to be less affected by your partner’s movements during nighttime, dawn, and after midnight.

Pressure Relief

Helix mattresses reduce pressure. This is partly due to the Helix mattress’ layers of memory foam, pocketed coils, and polyfoam. The foam is able to induce deep relaxation and self cradling, which can reduce pressure points like the hips. The demands of side sleepers or anyone under 130 lbs. Softer mattresses are more suitable for side sleepers and those who weigh less than 130 lbs. Firmer mattresses are recommended for those who prefer to sleep on their stomachs or backs or for those who weigh over 230 pounds.

The best relief from pressure is found in the moonlight and dusk. The Plus is designed for heavier people and may help to alleviate pressure points. Twilight and Dawn have a harder sensation, which will increase resistance to pressure points. This reduces the efficacy these products in this area.

Temperature Control

Helix mattresses perform above average for hybrids in terms of sleeping cool.

The memory foam mattress has a reputation for making you feel heated while you sleep since it often captures and holds onto heat all night. These mattresses have coils that allow air to circulate through them to counter heat loss.

The Dawn’s firmness as well as its lack of sinkage makes it feel cooler than other types. The Plus includes two cooling covers to help with heat dissipation.

Edge Support

Each Helix model features an encasement that’s strengthened in the coil’s core. As a result, less sinkage occurs when a person sits or lays on the edge of their bed. Each model is different in terms of how supportive it provides edge support. This is due to the quality of its construction and stiffness.

For instance, due to their sturdy design, the Dawn and Twilight provide the best edge support. They provide excellent edge support due to their strong build. Dusk, Midnight and Plus also provide enough support for the edges.

Moonlight the Moonlight or Sunset are the most expensive models. This means that you will sink less when you sleep, and you can sit closer to the edge. These mattresses offer the most support at the edges than any other Helix mattress.

Ease of Movement

The model’s overall quality is what separates the ease of movement from any other class. The surface is slippery due to the sinking Moonlight as well as the soft Moonlight.

Twilight and Dawn models have a more comfortable, firmer sensation. Due to the strong pushback of the Dawn or Twilight models against the body, it is much easier for you to move about and get out.

Although the Line with the Plus’s two-layer comfort system makes it a bit more difficult to move around on than other hybrids due to its firmness, the bed still offers enough movement.

Sex

Helix mattresses are known for their coil cores which provide some spring and bounce. Many couples enjoy Helix mattress sex. The level of conforming or sinking of the foam layers can affect how sexual experiences are enhanced or diminished depending on the mattress design.

The Helix Dawn’s smooth surfaces and Twilight make it easier to move around, making them ideal for couples. Also, while dusk, night, and plus are great times to have sex, moonlight and sunset can make it more difficult. These models have plush, soft surfaces that may restrict motion.

Off-Gassing

Helix models have the same amount of “new mattress smell” as all foam mattresses.

The smell is usually considered safe and disappears after a few days. Helix has many mattress options.

Helix mattresses that are hybrids have more air circulation because of their coil cores. The result is that odors are less likely to persist than with an all foam mattress.

If you are bothered by the smell, you can choose to expose the mattress in a well-ventilated area for a few more hours.

Helix Sleeping Style and Body Weight

Side Sleepers

Helix-sunset-sideYou can sleep comfortably on your side if you find the right combination of support and cushioning in a mattress. To align the spine and alleviate strain, the hips should not be pressed against the mattress. Side sleepers prefer mattresses with a medium feel. These are closer to the soft end.

Side bed sleepers less than 130lbs will enjoy the plush padding on the Moonlight and Dusk models. The Moonlight is a good option for people who like a cozier atmosphere.

The Midnight and Dusk models are best for side sleepers weighing between 130-230 pounds. Models’ combination of support and contouring will appeal to most sleepers who are in this weight range.

If you’re a side sleeper and weigh more than 230 pounds, the Plus or, to a lesser degree, the Twilight are your best options. People who are side sleepers will not sink too deeply into these models due to their firmer feel. Helix Dynamic foam layer provides bounce and cushioning, while the Plus model is for larger persons. The foam comfort layers provide support and cushioning, as well as the relief of pressure on the hips, shoulders, and hips.

Back Sleepers

Back sleepers likewise want a mix of support and contouring, but they want less cushioning than side sleepers do.

To avoid spinal misalignment and sinking, back sleeping requires some extra support. Your spine should be balanced by the position of your back on a bed.

This is why back sleepers often choose mattresses that are firmer than those preferred by side sleepers but not as stiff as those preferred by stomach sleepers.

The Midnight may be the best option for back sleepers under 130 pounds, depending on their needs. It offers the ideal amount support and cushioning to this sleeping position.

The options are endless for people who weigh between 130 and 220 pounds. Back sleepers with this weight might find the Plus or Twilight suitable. Both offer enough cushioning to cushion the spine, and support for the lower back. They are both Dusk as well as Dawn excellent because of their firmness and reliability.

The Plus, Twilight, or Dawn are great options for people who are heavier than 230 lbs and sleep on their stomachs. To prevent hips from sinking into the mattress, they provide great support for the weight range.

Stomach Sleepers

Since torsos normally bear the majority of a person’s weight. Stomach sleepers are more likely to put stress on their mattresses, and sink deeper than others. If they fall too far, it can cause their spines to shift out of alignment. Later aches and pains may result from this. Stomach sleepers will need a mattress with more support, firmness, and enough push-back so that their backs align.

The firmer Helix versions will be most comfortable for stomach sleepers, who require a level surface to preserve proper spinal alignment and alignment. For those over 130lbs who wish to get a good night’s sleep, the Plus and Dawn may be a better choice. Due to its hardness and support, the central area of the mattress is strong enough to prevent excessive weight loss. A cushion that is supportive and comfortable will offer the support stomach sleepers of this weight range need.

Because it feels medium firm, the Midnight is best for stomach sleepers weighing less than 130lbs. But, people who are heavier will not sink as deep. The Twilight might be suitable for stomach sleepers with lighter weights, particularly those who weigh between 130-230 pounds.
